for shandalar there is usually a seperate download that says source. For manalink it is included with the most recent release along with most of the older releases. it is in the src folder.
can I maze of ith your snowstorm?

I think they're in the Manalink, but not Shandalar and I agree.
When playing, card text is important. Read and understand it. It will usually prevent most errors.

Please be specific and (this isn't aimed at you in particular, timmermac) reasonable. I'm much more likely to get to things if they're in bite-size pieces than "all cards with [something]".
For slivers, I'm not likely to make much more progress. Most of the "easy" ones are already in. Sliver Overlord, Ward Sliver, and Toxin Sliver have been added since NB1; Essence Sliver I'll probably do today (it became much easier as a side effect of my Living Artifact rewrite); and I'll bump Ghostflame Sliver to the front of the list. All of the other slivers are currently either impossible or impractical:

- Brood Sliver and Synapse Sliver have optional triggered abilities, which are only directly supported by the engine when it's the ability's source's controller who chooses whether to activate it.
- Spined Sliver, like many other cards, can't be done robustly until there's real blocking triggers, which are waiting in turn on a rewrite of multiblockers like Two-Headed Giant of Foriys.
- Hunter Sliver, like everything else with provoke or anything similar, is waiting on a generalization of Lure, which I haven't gotten to yet.
- Root Sliver is waiting on uncounterability. Likely the version after this.
- Lymph Sliver is doable, and will even be easy once I start doing partial damage prevention effects at all, but trying it before then will make all the other similar effects harder.
- Leeching Sliver is in exactly the same position as Lymph Sliver, but is instead waiting on "When [something besides this particular card] attacks" triggers.
- Belligerent Sliver and Two-Headed Sliver grant menace, which is wholly incompatible with the way the combat AI works. The combat AI has numerous other problems, so I'll have to rewrite it eventually, but that won't be soon.
- The largest group - Acidic Sliver, Armor Sliver, Barbed Sliver, Basal Sliver, Cautery Sliver, Clot Sliver, Crypt Sliver, Darkheart Sliver, Dementia Sliver, Firewake Sliver, Frenetic Sliver, Gemhide Sliver, Hibernation Sliver, Magma Sliver, Manaweft Sliver, Mindlash Sliver, Mindwhip Sliver, Mistform Sliver, Mnemonic Sliver, Necrotic Sliver, Poultice Sliver, Psionic Sliver, Quilled Sliver, Screeching Sliver, Sedge Sliver, Spectral Sliver, Telekinetic Sliver, Victual Sliver - all grant activated abilities. The engine doesn't support adding activated abilities at all - unsurprising, since none of the cards in MTG when the game was released did so - and they're very clumsy to approximate. Doing it properly means that all activated abilities have to interact with them, so it wasn't even one of my design goals. Eventually I'll put in something vaguely generic so the same problems don't have to be solved in every single card that grants activated abilities, like they are in Manalink, but that's not going to be soon at all.
- Homing Sliver not only grants an activated ability, it's an ability that's activated from your hand. That's not supported at all by the engine, either, even when it's not granted to other cards.
- Constricting Sliver, Diffusion Sliver, Dormant Sliver, Frenzy Sliver, Fungus Sliver, Mesmeric Sliver, Opaline Sliver, Pulmonic Sliver, Thorncaster Sliver, Vampiric Sliver, and Virulent Sliver grant triggered abilities, which aren't supported at all by the engine either. On the other hand, they can be approximated much more closely by making the source sliver trigger for all the other ones - for example, implementing Fungus Sliver like it read "Whenever a Sliver creature is dealt damage, put a +1/+1 counter on it". On yet a third hand, doing that's going to greatly complicate things once triggers go on the stack like they're supposed to in post-sixth-edition rules, so I regard my early addition of Harmonic Sliver and Plague Sliver (which use just those sort of approximations) as major blunders. Opaline Sliver's triggered ability is, further, one that's not directly supported by the engine, doesn't work at all well under the fifth-edition-era rules, and which I haven't even done the non-Sliver version of yet. Diffusion Sliver's like Opaline Sliver dialed up to 11. And Dormant Sliver's also waiting on defender becoming a real ability that can be added and removed.
- Flash, like Defender, is added on a per-card-type basis ("all Ashcoat Bear's") rather than a per-card basis ("this particular Ashcoat Bear"), so Quick Sliver is out. It'll also be significantly harder to add to the engine than defender was in Manalink, and I don't view Manalink's approximation for this kind of card ("0: Cast a Sliver card in your hand. Any player may activate this ability.") as an option.
- Hivestone is waiting on arbitrary cards being able to gain or lose subtypes while on the bf. High priority for the version after this, since it's a requirement for manlands.
- And Sliver Hive's totally prevented by the engine's non-support for mana with spending restrictions. The only card in MTG when the game was released that did this was Mishra's Workshop; that's implemented as a sixth color of mana with some additional hacks that sometimes let colorless mana be spent as it. And there isn't room to add an eighth - all the mana-related data structures are eight bytes wide, colorless mana takes a slot, too, and the last is used for "total" mana - let alone five more types for Sliver Hive, five for Ally Encampment, etc etc.

Fair enough, but he'll be disappointed. My brother (timmermac) LOVES Slivers. I can convince him to play the Manalink version for more.

That's not really a problem. I suspected that certain cards might be difficult/practically impossible with a 20-something year-old engine. I can find other ways to win games. (Elfburn + Beastmaster Ascension, anybody?)

I think the engine got a massive upgrade in some areas, though. But there are limitations that require a complete rewrite, which is not in the plans for the foreseeable future. Is Elfburn even in the mix? And can it be added?
Also, slivers are such a wide ranging category of cards that it's impossible to single out a specific card in the category. Clone and Vesuvan Doppelganger aside, the properties of the individual sliver card have to be considered before it can be added to the card list, as Korath stated.
