DotP 2013 WAD File Editor
by RisenDeep » 10 Jul 2012, 13:44
Moin Moin,
i used this Site and its Ressources last days to modd my DotP 2013 Copy.
Now i want to give Something back. I created an Editor like the one for the 2012 Version to easier create and Pack Decks and modd the Core File.
Requirements
NET 2.0 or similar Mono Runtime
Features
Each kind of Configuration keeps an own Tab
Deck Files can be Saved
Creates full directory Path and Header Files
Extracts Cards from unpacked WADs to use in the Editor
Textual Preview and Image Preview on double click on a card
Automaticaly copies Cards and Ressource Files to the new WAD
Uses the Pack/Unpack Tools from
The Program worked well for me and i hope to you too.
Please post Bugs Improvements
Edit:
I Think the "new user spamie rules" are a bit too paranoid so link will be added soon

If you really want to post a link but the forum doesn't allow you, there are some tricks, like inverting the slashes (http:\\), substituting points with underscores (www_google_com), etc...

Thank you for this tip
www_file-upload_net\download-4544569\WADEdit_zip_html
When you start the Program there will be directorys created and tools will be unpacked. To start you'll first to have click on "WADs -> Unpack" or "WADs -> Unpack All" to extract existing WAD files.
The Editor will then automaticaly read the files into the data browser and extract the cards to use in the deck editor. Every Card in every WAD directory can be used.
On creating a deck the WAD directory will be created and all nessesary files will be copied to the new directory. Then you can Click "WADs -> Pack" to make it a WAD file.
[IMPORTANT]
I supposed that DotP will only read Files that are Name "Deck_XXXX"

You can post proper links after you've posted 5 times, it's an anti-spambot measure.
I added the link to the first post,,,you can use another post to introduce yourself: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1253

I am amazed with this editor, I did my first deck today, it´s a Goblins mixed with Red Deck Wins based on site mtgtop8
The program is pretty intuitive but I got some questions for example:
how to set the Box and Image Preview Card?
I just learning, but later I would like to create some nice decks like UW Delver, Faeries, Necropotence, Dredge etc... .
Anyone knows if Eglin's mod will be ported to 2013?, great cards and decks there.
Thx´s

Are there any other things to take into consideration when adding a new deck to get it working? Like having the correct cracked .exe or deleting your profile?
To rule out any stupid mistakes I'll retrace my steps; I constructed a test deck, named the package "Deck_1001", used deck->create, then packed the generated folder into a .wad and placed it in the DotP dir
But nothing shows up in the game.
Is there anything I'm missing here?

The lights then came up and the crowd erupted in applause, because that's what the crowd does after it watches destruction on a large screen.

Hey,
back from Moving.
will come soon so you may import them automaticaly.
For now you have to copy them manualy into the ART ASSETS Directory that
is created when creating the deck.
Other Bugreports and Adds are welcome!

I just work on it and if you would look on the >Deck Statistics< tab, you would see "Box Image" and "Preview Card". Ressources arent added yet buthow to set the Box and Image Preview Card?

I have tried using this to create and import a deck. It seems to work fine, the deck can be viewed in the in-game Deck Editor. However, when I try to start a duel, the entire game crashes to desktop. This happens whether I use the custom deck, or even if both decks involved are ones from the base game.
Removing the custom deck .wad file from the DotP:2013 directory makes the game function again, so the problem is somewhere with the custom deck. Any ideas?

Well, theres a lot of reasons that can cause the game to crash, but mostly, check:Kevashim wrote:I have tried using this to create and import a deck. - the APPLINK_ file
- If u're using the right "unlock" version (for SKIDROW or Theta, if a bucanneer release)
- The . WAD compiling
- Files inside the .WAD packed folder
- Deck name
- Cards with same name
- Make sure you have Rick's DLL.
This tool is a bit tricky to create new decks. My suggestion is to rip an existing deck (mostly a original one, then u dont have deck customization save problems)
and manually add the new cards, change the deck ID and save it as a new WAD. ^^
