[fixed/closed]Blister Beetle
by HarlequinCasts » 27 Oct 2013, 16:51
Describe the Bug:
This was reported as fixed last patch but the same bug exists in OoAv2 and PTT
Previous Blister Beetle report here
The AI can play a Blister Beetle with no other creatures on the board and somehow treat the -1/-1 ability as a "may" ability, thus avoiding having to kill its own creature.
Which card did behave improperly ?
Blister Beetle
Which update are you using?(date, name)Which type(Duel,Gauntlet,Sealed Deck)
PTT
What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
-1/-1 always
Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?
NA
*** Save game is from OoAv2 ***

[refixed by Korath]Mist Raven - AI
by Aswan jaguar » 16 Nov 2013, 20:05
Describe the Bug:
AI (at least) can play Mist Raven without returning a creature back to the hand if AI has only creatures on the battlefield.(Mist Raven itself or another)
Which card did behave improperly ?
Mist Raven
Which update are you using?(date, name)Which type(Duel,Gauntlet,Sealed Deck)
ML3-Portals to Theros
What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
AI has to return a creature to his hand if AI is the only one that has creatures on the battlefield.

I had this situation (AI doesn't honor allow_cancel=0 if only non-preferred targets are available) working so thoroughly and for so long in dev that I went ahead and removed all the hacks in individual cards that worked around it, including one from this card (which reuses Man-o'-War 's function). And on Thursday I broke it.
Refixed in 46ac458.

This should really, honestly, truly, be fixed in the next patch; it's a straightforward instance of the Man-o'-War bug.

I'm closing this because I can't get the AI to cast either Blister Beetle or Man-o'-War when there are no other creatures in play (but it immediately casts them when I have a creature). So I think that is good enough.
Working on: housekeeping and archived reports

I got the AI to cast it and lo and behold it works, the Blister Beetle kills itself! Now the AI probably shouldn't do that but whatever. This bug was a long time coming

I would probably do as AI and go with a Bum!I prefer the "action" than discard the card as you can see AI has already 7 cards in his hand and would be forced to discard one so AI prefers to go with a suicide attack to do nothing and be forced to discard a card.
