Computer made very poor choices while playing Blatant Thievery. Computer played it in 2 rounds, and both times it took control of one of my lands, while i had big creatures in play it could not defend against. So i think it's a bit strange to take control of a land that is not needed anyway because both players already have enough lands.
Poor choice or a bug in Blatant Thievery?
Computer has 2 Caustic Wasps in play, but does not destroy my artifacts when dealing combat damage. Unless it tries to destroy my indestructible Myr Matrix.

The triggered power of Vulturous Zombie is triggered by creature tokens going to the opponent's graveyard.

That isn't a bug actually. When tokens die they go into the graveyard triggering any abilities before being removed from the game as a state-based action. This is true when tokens move to any zone outside the battlefield. This is a rule that is often forgotten or overlooked.gos wrote:The triggered power of Vulturous Zombie is triggered by creature tokens going to the opponent's graveyard.

I thought the same thing, except Vulturous Zombie says "Card" which by default means non-token.TheRobberBaron wrote:That isn't a bug actually. 10/1/2005: This ability triggers only on cards, so it won't trigger when a token is put into your opponent's graveyard.

Ah, but Vulturous Zombie refers to cards specifically, and tokens are not cards.TheRobberBaron wrote:That isn't a bug actually. Fixed (as well as two other cards with the same wording)! Thanks gos.gos wrote:The triggered power of Vulturous Zombie is triggered by creature tokens going to the opponent's graveyard.
I tested this and the AI took my best creature. It could be that you've controled creatures that the AI can't play well (with RemAIDeck SVar) like Lord of the Pit.Bundy wrote:Computer made very poor choices while playing Blatant Thievery. I can't reproduce this. The AI is smart enough not to try to destroy indestructible artifacts.Bundy wrote:Computer has 2 Caustic Wasps in play, but does not destroy my artifacts when dealing combat damage. Unless it tries to destroy my indestructible Myr Matrix.

Computer casts Slayer of the Wicked and kills it's own creature Walking Corpse, seems a bit dumb. But then again I'm kind of new to magic.
User experience, make or break. MtG drafting is fun.

I cast Gigadrowse and replicated it twice, targeting 2 creatures my opponent controlled (one of them twice), during its start of combat phase. Nothing tapped. I died.

Could be. If i remember correctly the big creatures i had both had sunburst. maybe the computer only looked at the base power of these cards and ignored all the +1/+1 counters from the sunburst ability and a Doubling Season?Sloth wrote:I tested this and the AI took my best creature. I played a Myr deck at that time, so all my creatures were artifacts. Guess i just was lucky not to have them destroyed thenSloth wrote:I can't reproduce this. The AI is smart enough not to try to destroy indestructible artifacts.

This explains the bad use of Blatant Thievery. All the Sunburst cards have RemAIDeck SVar, because the AI doesn't know how to cast them effectively. This is an unfortunate side effect. Enchantments aren't rated very highly by the AI because most of them are Auras or have symmetrical effects (and there's no point in stealing them).Bundy wrote:Could be.
