Does MatrixBSmallCaps have a different name? All the hits I found on Google just lead to this thread. I found all the others.

No. Doesn't look like most of them are. They were easy to find online though, with the exception of MatrixBSmallCaps, which I ultimately found in Magic Set Editor's installation.Huggybaby wrote:Please let me know if they're in here: http://www.mediafire.com/?3gm1xyzvhsz

There is a matrixbsc.ttf in the MTG Editor 1.4 Fonts Pack folder in that file, is that not the proper one?

Maybe there is, I only poked it through it for a minute or two and didn't see it.Huggybaby wrote:There is a matrixbsc.ttf in the MTG Editor 1.4 Fonts Pack folder in that file, is that not the proper one?

Also, I have a couple questions about Planeswalkers. Is that Chandra Nalaar just an example or something? All of the ones I see online is the fiery one and not the meditating one.
Also, how exactly does art work? It's not exactly clear what the program expects. Do they all go in one big directory? Subdirectories according to set abbreviation? How does it handle a card that has several different pieces of artwork according to edition (Or does that not happen)?
Is there an easy way I can generate cards set by set, like just alpha, or just beta? I want to do one at a time so I can make sure there aren't any errors.

Yes, that was an example as it was the only multilayer image I had ready to use. The person is Karona, False God.Also, I have a couple questions about Planeswalkers. Is that Chandra Nalaar just an example or something? All of the ones I see online is the fiery one and not the meditating one.
It assumes the same directory structure as MWS and naming is pretty much compatible also(exception is Split as it needs 2 artworks). Also, how exactly does art work? This means artwork should be placed in subdirectories according to set abbreviation.
If the card has more than 1 artwork then:
a) if you didn't specify the one you want it will choose one at random in single card generation or will try to make the same amount of each card version in pages output
b) you can specify the version you want like "Forest (1)" then it will use Forest1.jpg or something like that. (Can remember out top of my head but it should also accept Forest 1.jpg and Forest (1).jpg)
- Code: Select all
Is there an easy way I can generate cards set by set, like just alpha, or just beta? I want to do one at a time so I can make sure there aren't any errors.

Okay, so what subdirectory do Planeswalkers overlays go into, if any, since they're not used in MWS?Snacko wrote:It assumes the same directory structure as MWS and naming is pretty much compatible also(exception is Split as it needs 2 artworks).

Also, how do splits work? If I have a single card image, do I need to separate it into say, Spite.jpg and Malice.jpg? How should the images being oriented? Rotated 90 deg to the left, I'm assuming?
Is there any way to generate old cards exactly as they were originally printed? Looking at some Alpha renders there's text there that wasn't on the original card.
By the way, great program, even if image handling is confusing. I wasn't able to find anything for making proxies that works nearly as well.

Oh, and by the way, I haven't been able to drag and drop ANYTHING onto the cmd.exe window in Vista64. It just doesn't work, even if you run the batch file as administrator.
I had to install the context menu item and do it that way.

It's a known feature of Vista shell that you cannot drag and drop anything into it. You could try using Powershell which might enable drag and drop support (haven't tested it).Oh, and by the way, I haven't been able to drag and drop ANYTHING onto the cmd.exe window in Vista64. Same directory as your normal Planeswalker picture.Okay, so what subdirectory do Planeswalkers overlays go into, if any, since they're not used in MWS?
Yes you need to have them split into two ex. Spite.jpg and Malice.jpg and they need to have normal orientation like every other card, so they need to be rotated 90 deg to the left after being cut. (I'm going to ask extreme to cut those from raws)Also, how do splits work? If I have a single card image, do I need to separate it into say, Spite.jpg and Malice.jpg? How should the images being oriented? Rotated 90 deg to the left, I'm assuming?
All the cards have Oracle wording and it's the official one if the card would be reprinted. The old text is obsolete and has no legal meaning that's why I see no reason supporting it.Is there any way to generate old cards exactly as they were originally printed? Looking at some Alpha renders there's text there that wasn't on the original card.
It works in 99% of time out of the box with the crops supplied MWS HQ so it shouldn't be so bad.By the way, great program, even if image handling is confusing. I wasn't able to find anything for making proxies that works nearly as well.
