I think that he is referring to the card detail panel. On my 24 inch wide screen monitor this panel can be taller than it need to be with many of the cards with a minimum amount text.
I assume that it looks OK on smaller resolutions. If we one day can drag the panels around this might help those of us who have larger monitors.
Imagine being able to move all of those panels to one side and having them appear in one column. This would give people even more space on the battlefield for multiple cards.

No worries.
What do you reckon, a center align, and/or smaller icons?

My insticts say marginally smaller icons, and keep the text right aligned. It just needs to have enough space so as not to overlap the icons like in the image I posted (ignore corner cases of quadruple digits thoughDoublestrike wrote:No worries.

The Card Detail panel I'm guessing? Bottom right corner in the duel screen under the card picture.Doublestrike wrote:Do you mean the card detail panel, the input panel, or the log panel in the tabber?WompWomp wrote:is the oracle text window still that way

Good call. Shrunk two pixels off each edge, moved to the left, looks good.moomarc wrote:My insticts say marginally smaller icons, and keep the text right aligned.

Things are looking good from your beast Doublestrike. The only thing I've noticed that doesn't seem to be fixed yet are Phase Preferences.

Cheers, friar. Thing is, the phase preferences are working for me...just ran a few tests:
- deleted forge.preferences, started fresh
- tested persisting across one, two matches
- tested persisting across restart, then one, two matches
So not sure what to do. From what I recall you're on a pretty good Windows box, which is what I'm working on so it seems it's not a platform or performance bug...any further clues I can work with (from anyone)?

I ran a test using rev 13751 and the phase stops that I set persisted to the next game, match and relaunch.
The battlefield adjustments that I now make appear to be also persisting.

Attached are the fixed icons I was tellins you about, if you wanted them. I don't dig the flashback icon but I've racked my brain and I can't come up with anything that really expresses the concept of flashback in icon form, or anything better for exile than just an X. If someone wants them bigger/a different color/whatever I have most of them as vectors.

I still have some ideas to implement, and won't commit them until you release 1.2.3.

Well, I don't have any better idea for flashback, but I do have to say that the lightning bolt looks a bit weird. I would remove the extra bit at the top left, fill in the "chipped off" part at that one corner, and make the upper part a bit smaller.
As for exile, recent card art depicts the act of exiling a creature/permanent mostly as it dissolving into thin air (e.g. Path to Exile). Maybe this can somehow be depicted in icon form? Something (a face?) that is solid on one side and becomes more and more stippled on the other side?
Here's a quick concept:
Or, if not only black and white, but also gradients are acceptable, the stipples can also become gradually brighter to enhance the effect:

Phase Preferences are definitely not fixed for me. I tried removing my Prefs file and it still didn't work. I'll try nuking and re-syncing and see if that helps.

Ok, I just played a constructed match and that saved properly. But then I went to my Quest and it didn't, so I guess that means my Quest is hosed somehow? Lemme see if a new one works with it.

I think Max mentioned quests saved between 13703 and 13735 (?) are permanently broken?
But that shouldn't have anything to do with the prefs saving...I'll test again using your clues.
