I don't need to be credited in thread titles, btw, especially if it ends up truncating the title of the bug itself.

The name to the title main purpose was to be able to tell which Developer worked on a bug and whoever (mainly another Developer) wanted to address a question about the cardcode a function or anything else could do that without having to read the bugs or maybe uncomprehensive code.

But hasn't that been superseded by the inclusion of the hashes?

And on that subject, the guidelines say that threads should be named with just the card name. So do the devs prefer that, or more description?

Best practice for naming bugs is to include enough information that someone who read the thread a year ago can identify it again from just the title, especially on search. "EDH still buggish after February patch" and "Disciple of the Vault" and "Disciple of the Vault" are useless. "EDH mulligan: cards stay exiled" and "Disciple of the Vault: error popup on first sac" and "Disciple of the Vault: legacy lasts too long" are much better.

Knowing who last worked on a card is useful, but A) there's better tools for that (git blame lets us see who last changed a particular line of code), and B) it's useful far less often than being able to see at a glance what the bug was.

So it's ok to do AJ's way then (infos on title)?

Ultimately, it's up to you guys. I'd mostly thought the point of "[Fixed by Korath]Help, help, nothing works" as opposed to "[Fixed]Help, help, nothing works" was to be an ego boost, which is the last thing I need.

The problem with the new report thread title naming convention is that with longer card names it's hard to add any useful info.
For example: When I tried to rename the thread named '[confirmed]Wolfbitten Captive / Krallenhorde Killer', I couldn't even add the word 'transform'.

Two suggestions:
1) Don't add the name of the flipside, just use the name on the front of the card and then mention the name on the back in the body of the post (search will find it there).
2) additional info is helpful when doing searches but not vital. The name of the card and the status update are the most important things, so just do the best you can working around those. Unfortunately we can't change the max length on thread titles, so we just have to work with what we have.

Done checking all the fixed bugs in Archived Reports.

There are a few EDH bugs I didn't check that I marked with a flame, so if someone could check those. And double checking that I didn't miss any wouldn't hurt.
