Postby Gargaroz » 25 Oct 2012, 14:07

[confirmed]Nuzumi Shortfang

Postby Tyranix95 » 25 Oct 2012, 21:41

I. Describe the Bug:

Nuzumi Shortfang does not flip to Stabwhisker the Odious.

II. Which card did behave improperly?

Nuzumi Shortfang / Stabwhisker the Odious

III. Which update are you using: Date, name? And which game are you playing: Duel, Gauntlet, or Sealed Deck?

Manalink 3.0 : 09162012_m13_v3 : Duel.

IV. What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction?

Target opponent discards a card. (Works.) Then if that player has no cards in hand, flip Nezumi Shortfang. (Does not work.)

V. Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug?

I do not know.

VI. Save Game(s).

[confirmed]Chains of Mephistopheles

Postby Tyranix95 » 27 Oct 2012, 01:08

0. Head Note:

The Chains of Mephistopheles (CoM) do not affect the first card either a player or an oppenent draws durning their draw phase; however, the CoM affect all other cards either a player or an opponent draws during the game.

The Chains of Mephistopheles (CoM) forces a player or an opponent to discard one card, to CoM, in order to draw one card into their hand; and, if the player can't discard one card to the CoM to draw a card, then the CoM forces that player to put (mill) that draw card into the graveyard instead of putting that draw card into their hand.

The affects of the COM are cumulative, so if two CoM cards are in play, then a player or a computer must discard one card to each CoM in order to draw a card; however, if the player can't discard one card to each CoM in order to draw a card into their hand, then the CoM that didn't get a discard card will force that player to put (mill) that draw card into their graveyard instead of putting that draw card into their hand.

And, if a card makes a player draw multiple times (like Ancestral Recall, Wheel of Fortune, Timetwister, or Howling Mine), then the CoM affect each indivual card drawn (just like Underworld Dreams). In theory, if a player has no cards in hand to discard to each CoM in order to put each draw card into thier hand, then all the CoMs will force that player to put (mill) each indivual draw card into their graveyard, one draw card at at time, until they have no more cards to draw (kinda like a Millstone).

I. Describe the Bug:

I.A. Basically, CoM is not affecting both players the same.

I.B. Sometimes, when the player draws cards, the CoM affects the computer. In this event, the CoM is targeting the wrong player. The CoM should target the player and not the computer. This usually happens on the player's draw phase.

I.C. And, when the computer draws cards, the CoM does not affect the computer. In this event, the CoM is not affecting the comptuer on the comptuer's turn. Again, the card should affect both players druing each and every turn and phase of the game.

II. Which card did behave improperly?

Chains of Mephistopheles.

III. Which update are you using: Date, name? And which game are you playing: Duel, Gauntlet, or Sealed Deck?

Manalink 3.0 : 09162012_m13_v3 : Duel.

IV. What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction?

If a player would draw a card except the first one he or she draws in his or her draw step each turn, that player discards a card instead. (Partially Works.) If the player discards a card this way, he or she draws a card. (Partially Works.) If the player doesn't discard a card this way, he or she puts the top card of his or her library into his or her graveyard. (Partially Works.)

V. Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug?

I do not know.

VI. Save Game(s).

I can confirm the bugs in your savegame, however in a clean game with no RuleEngine card the discard issue with the AI instead of the player doesn't happen, and as we know there is a global issue with discard mechanism it might be related...

Re: Urza's Avenger

Postby Aswan jaguar » 28 Oct 2012, 10:02

I couldn't reproduce exactly your second problem but the fact is when you attack a plainswalker with Urza's Avenger you get a free legacy saying always "Urza's Avenger get -0/-0 and gains trample until end of turn" for me,not a free ability though.
The first time I attacked a plainswalker with Urza's Avenger I got an error message but didn't save it,if it happens again I will save it.

That is right, it's not a gameplay bug but a legacy text bug error, the issue is it's out of Sonic csv range so it can only be fixed in the code.

Re: Phyrexian Obliterator

Postby stassy » 30 Oct 2012, 05:48

confirmed, though it's a tricky issue : it happen only on spell chain (eg. 2 Lightning Bolt, the 1st will cause damage source controller to sac 3 permanents, but the 2nd will just kill Phyrexian Obliterator and the sac will not happen).

If a one shot killer is cast like Thunderous Wrath, Phyrexian Obliterator will trigger correctly the sac effect

[confirmed]Consecrate Land not Mishra's Factory

Postby mbodrov » 30 Oct 2012, 13:48

Describe the Bug:
Mishra's Factory, which was played this turn, and not changed to Assembly Worker, cannot use the pump ability (greyed out in the selection)

Which card did behave improperly ?
Mishra's Factory

Which update are you using?(date, name)Which type(Duel,Gauntlet,Sealed Deck)
m13v3

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
As long as Mishra's Factory is not a creature, summoning sickness should not prevent it from using the pump ability.

Re: [confirmed]Consecrate Land not Mishra's Factory

Postby Aswan jaguar » 30 Oct 2012, 15:07

I renamed the topic as the problem is Consecrate Land which gives Shroud instead of protection from enchantments.
This problem unfortunately has to do with the change in Magic.exe of 'protection from enchantments' function to 'Shroud'.

Nah! If you wanted to cite a psychopathic computer for this game you would have been better off suggesting V.I.K.I. from 'I, Robot':

V.I.K.I.: "You are making a mistake. My logic is undeniable."
Detective Del Spooner: "You have so got to die."

I could have said 'Colossus: The Forbin Project' - but then I'd be showing my age. 8-[

Colossus: This is the voice of World Control. I bring you peace. It may be the Peace of Plenty and Content or the Peace of Unburied Death.
Now that really was a psycho computer.
