Now that we have the option to select cards by edition, would it be possible to implement all the From the Vault/Duel Decks/Planechase/Archenemy/Commander decks? Presently I've resorted to replacing older versions with the individual cards but I'd really like an easier way--having the ability to add like, say, a folder called /DDJ/ and be able to select the Duel Decks: Jace v.s. Chandra version of the Counterspell would be a lot better than the ghetto way of replacing one of the older editions with said card.
Requesting this mostly because of how great a lot of the older cards look with the new borders, while wanting to retain the ability to select the cards in their original frames when the mood strikes. Presently it's just one or the other.

Seeing how a lot (about 300) of Wotc precon decks are now forgable will there be more precon decks available to buy in quest mode from the shop?
End turn/pass priority behavior

Hello new friends.
Currently (beta 1.3.3, snapshot 1.3.4-8) you can't cancel the "skip until EOT/stack" action once activated. I propose either making this a 1-click/hotkey press so it activates and skips the phase; or make it an on/off toggle so you don't cringe everytime you press E at your upkeep phase by accident.
Also, if you activate this during the CPU turn and he doesn't do anything during his combat phase, it will always stop at the end combat phase. I suggest removing this stop entirely, or at least moving it to the next phase (Main 2) when there's a proper chance of a play being made.

Only if someone adds them. I might work on it...Lexusex wrote:Seeing how a lot (about 300) of Wotc precon decks are now forgable will there be more precon decks available to buy in quest mode from the shop?
Export Deck Gone?
by bladefallcon » 22 Dec 2012, 04:50
I just found this program a week ago and I love it. Last night I updated to the 1.3.3 version (I was trying to build a deck with newer cards, and needed the new set list) And now I cannot find the export Deck option anywhere. It was in the previous version I was running. What happened?
Also, if it can be re-added (or it is still there and you can tell me where) I wonder if there could be some options of what gets put into the exported file, and how. Example: You could choose to have the Number of copies, the card name, and the set all added to the file, and you could choose the order. Such as "Number|Set|Card Name" I ask, because MTGFanatic (a website where you can buy individual cards) has a great tool to import (copy and Paste) a deck list, and it automatically adds te cards to a shopping cart for you to buy the cards in your deck (assuming they have them in stock) But they require the list to be in a specific format. (the one listed above) Unfortunately they also require the Set to be typed all out, not the 3 letter abbr. used in the program..

If you would like help with that, let me know. I'd be happy to lay a hand.Xitax wrote:Only if someone adds them. I might work on it...Lexusex wrote:Seeing how a lot (about 300) of Wotc precon decks are now forgable will there be more precon decks available to buy in quest mode from the shop?

I think it has probably already been requested but it would be really nice if we could use subfolders in decks\constructed\ to sort between all the precons, personnal decks you might have (not counting formats like standard, modern, legacy ^^) I already label them with a [prefix] to sort them out but it would be so much better to have them in separate folders (especially for managing the folders outside of forge rather than having a list of more than 500 decks!!)

This is mostly for the newer precon decks and quest mode; would be nice if the deck parser could read booster information so you'd get the bonus 1/2 booster packs the newer precon decks come with when you buy them in-game (or start with as cardpool).
Also, this could be me just being plain terrible or playing with the unrestricted cardpool, but the easy to medium/high AI progression is way steep, their decks are so specialized that by their 2nd turn whatever cards they have are enough to beat you. Even if you do play with a smaller cardpool so you can specialize sooner (which I am about to attempt), their decks will still feature some of the strongest cards from any set. Most often 4 of each!
So I suggest adding some form of optional regression, say if you lose the same amount of times in a row it takes toface the next tier (or current tier if you're at the top already) gain a rank (I got preference settings confused, but really the amount doesn't matter), you'd be facing the previous AI tier. If you work this into the quest preferences everyone can disable or change it to their liking. (Note I'm not suggesting rebalancing decks, just making it so we can go back to an easier opponent if we lose too many times in a row and work our way back up)

Precon decks already have a set association, so it doesn't seem too extreme to add a # of booster parameter to the deck file. We just need support for it in Forge.Adult Fratelli wrote:This is mostly for the newer precon decks and quest mode; would be nice if the deck parser could read booster information so you'd get the bonus 1/2 booster packs the newer precon decks come with when you buy them in-game (or start with as cardpool).

This should be an easy one to do...
The program needs to be a little more rules friendly with deck builds. It should not allow me to add more than 4 copies of any card (other than a basic land). Now, I can understand that some may use this program, to create a "deck" that is really a card list. So I understand allowing it there. But once I try to play with a deck that has a illegal amount of copies of a card in it, it should stop me. It should be as simple as adding a check as the game begins to see if it is a valid deck. If it isn't it gives you a popup, and closes the game. (or at least gives you a warning, before allowing you to continue the game..
Just a thought...

I put in a hearty vote for not restricting me from playing illegal decks in constructed mode. This seems to be a totally unnecessary restriction. If I want to play with legal decks, I'll just play with legal decks, or not. If you want to pop up a window letting me know the deck isn't legal for some reason, I guess that would be acceptable.
The only place the legal restrictions make any sense is in draft/sealed or quest mode.

Haven't found that on search so:
Can you make customizable stop phases, so u can choose which phases game will pause? - dont really need stop at draw phase for example.

We have this already. Just click on the phases, they should change from Green to Red (as long as you aren't colorblind, sorry)Vesst wrote:Haven't found that on search so:
