wasn't satisfied with Wolverine 3, actually
The Spectre 3 has 61 cards. I personally think, that Coat of Arms is somewhat misplaced there

What about Civic Wayfinder, Farhaven Elf, Frontier Guide, Sylvan Ranger, Yavimaya Granger, Oracle of Mul Daya or Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary?Nordos wrote:

Looks IMO quite good. Maybe any suggestions?
This whole deck is based on getting forest for two things: 1. Joraga Warcaller and 2. Ambush Commander ...
Another idea could be including 1-2 copies of Coat of Arms

There's no reson not to diversify here. When we have multiple power levels of one deck we should try to incorporate every card that fits the theme. Dakmor Sorceress, Quag Sickness and friends should all appear at least once.Nordos wrote:

@Wolverine 2 - go ahead and add them. Get rid of some Wisps, Slithering Shades and put the Sickness and the Sorceress in, instead.
For the forest elfes deck: The thing abou is, there are 4 cards which are directly using forests, all the others only need the mana (especially Joraga Warcaller). Then again, some of the elfes can be used instead of Ranger's Path and Nature's Lore ... Hmm.... good idea actually
gotta test it a few times ...

Do we have a BR undying/persist deck...? Based on Flayer of the Hatebound and persist + Mikeaus the Unhallowed combo
Re: New quest decks

The only Persist deck is Apu Nahasapeemapetilon 2-4 with the Melira, Sylvok Outcast combo. Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Flayer of the Hatebound + Persist sounds like a good deck idea.Nordos wrote:Do we have a BR undying/persist deck...? Here's the result:Sloth wrote:Looks good. The power level is sitting between medium and hard though. I think it's better to reduce the powerlevel somewhat and call it medium. Angelic Destiny would have to go and be replaced with some random auras (maybe some other auras that give flying?).Nordos wrote:

2 x Followed Footsteps

4 x Glacial Fortress
Other random notes:
1. The AI can't make good use of Kitsune Mystic.
2. Followed Footsteps doesn't have much synergy and costs 5 mana (Daybreak Coronet, Kor Spiritdancer and most other cards work better with cheap auras).

Cauldron of Souls wasn't used correctly in the Version 1.4.0, though (would always instant activate it instead of waiting till a non-persistent creature is about to die)

Yes, i'm afraid you have to drop the Undying creatures and Cauldron of Souls plan and concentrate on Persist + Mikaeus, the Unhallowed.Nordos wrote:

By the way, can you post your decklists without the " x " between the number and name. I always have to delete them, when i paste them into a dck file.

Ah, I just use the copy decklist function from forge (and 'import' feature, which has no problem with the X)
Well, the thing is, the number of persist creatures (good ones anyway) is pretty small... Hm, I will think about it

I think this is the most updated thread regarding quest decks, so I'll give my 2 cents here (not necessarily new decks):
1) Darrin Stephens 3 (the hard one) can sometimes be much harder than Darrin Stephens 4 (very hard). This is because of Tinker + Darksteel Colossus, which he can get as early as turn 1, due to Moxen. I really think this combo should stay on 4, not on 3.
2) Sinkhole is just no IMO. Especially with Moxen, it's just too unfair, even after 200 victories I still avoid most black decks because most of them have Sinkhole.
3) that Essence of the Wild deck really needs some refining. I've played against this deck like 10 times and I think I won all 10. You just need to save a single removal spell for Essence itself and you basically won the match.
4) Hermit Druid really needs to go from Hobbes deck (Dredge). AI doesn't know how to use Druid's ability, and ends up decking himself
5) Speaking of decking, Oreius 4 is also another deck that needs some refining on the subject. If you manage to hold his Goyf/Delvers you simply stall until he decks himself. IMO this deck could have more interaction and less digging. Something like Beast Within, Unsummon or Rapid Hybridization would work just fine. Getting rid of your best threat means a higher chance of his Goyfs dominating the ground

Thanks for the feedback lazylockie.
The other decks will be tested soon.
Agreed and fixed.lazylockie wrote:1) Darrin Stephens 3 (the hard one) can sometimes be much harder than Darrin Stephens 4 (very hard). This is because of Tinker + Darksteel Colossus, which he can get as early as turn 1, due to Moxen. I really think this combo should stay on 4, not on 3.
There's no Sinkhole in an easy or medium deck and only three hard deck feature more than one copy of Sinkhole: Lupin the Third 3 (Notion Thief), Saruman 3 (Megrim) and Darkseid 3 (Smallpox). I don't think any of these decks are unfair.

I agree, that Hobbes can kill itself with the Druid, though the druid DOES make the deck stronger in various ways.
I would just add a new creature - Laboratory Maniac
OFC it is a lucky guess if he get it into play, yet there may be some other cards which could allow it. I may take a look into it...
Agreed with Essence of the Wild. It is, atm, between medium and hard, and yet neither. Any suggestions?

The problem was that the AI would continue to dredge even with only a few cards left in the library. This is fixed now. In my testings the AI regularly manages to attack for more than 20 damage the turn after a Hermit Druid activation, which sounds like a good reward for the risk.lazylockie wrote:4) Hermit Druid really needs to go from Hobbes deck (Dredge). Yes, this deck needs some upgrade, it's not on a par with the other very hard decks.lazylockie wrote:5) Speaking of decking, Oreius 4 is also another deck that needs some refining on the subject. I reduced the number of AEther Barrier, Invoke Prejudice and Spreading Plague as they don't work well with Forbidden Orchard and added a copy each of Weakstone, Cumber Stone, Sunken Hope, The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale and The Abyss.Nordos wrote:ATM medium. I think it's still rather easy for a medium deck, but it's a fine deck that sometimes forces some unusual decision making on the player (especially the Tainted AEther choice of land or creature).

The AI is not really good at playing Aggro decks, but this one can produce a clock fast enough for the AI to realize that it should go all in.
