New Quest - Career Mode

There have been other threads kicking some of these ideas around in the past so I want to put forth my vision.
I would like to see a career mode quest that enforces the "standard" card availability and starts with the first cards available. After a certain number of wins (10? 20? 30?) you have the option to unlock the next expansion or you can stay where you are for however long you wish. If you unlock, and if that changes the standard card set, then your old cards will no longer be available for your "career mode". They could still be used for casual questing, just not for advancement matches. Quest opponents could go back to easy with each unlock, since you don't have anything in the new set, and you lost availability of some cards in the old set. Store prices could be capped at some level that would still make ultra-rares attainable but you would need to work for them.
This would give anyone the ability to play through every era of the game, with only what was historically available to a player at that time. You can successfully "retire" when you have won a certain number of matches in the most current era and have defeated every challenge opponent at least once in your career.
The number of matches it took goes into your personal hall of fame, which contains the top 5 career mode quests you have completed.
Once this is in place, it becomes very easy to start at any point in the historical timeline and play just that period or advance through the expansions until you get to today.
Would anybody besides me be interested in something like this?

For you competitive types out there, here is a twist on the journey. You are trying to finish the challenge in the least number of matches possible. To make it more interesting, you can unlock the next set any time you want, not after a set number of matches. Keep in mind that as you unlock new cards you may lose old ones, so it becomes a matter of balancing losses with anticipated gains from the new set. In this mode there would be a version of the easy, normal, difficult and very difficult opponents so that you start out easy and would almost definitely end up facing several very difficult opponents by the time you get to the end.
