Nice, I will take a look.
if you want to reduce the size of your mod you can also compress your .TDX
yours are not compressed, you will have to drag them on Gibbed.Duels.TdxConvert.exe first, this will revert them to .PNG, delete all the .TDX, then you just drag the .PNG on the .BAT file i've uploaded for you.
(note: I think there's a limit # of files you can drop on the batch. just drop 20-30 at time, repeat, and it should be fine.)
again it's just a suggestion. not trying to convert you

Honestly i already know that we can compress the TDX using the right parameters, but i never made it for 2 simple reason, 60MB or 90MB is the same for me, and i still don't know how much quality loss there is with compression, and also if the game use more CPU power to read compressed TDX.
What you can tell me about these points?? Do you think is really usefull to compress it???
ANYWAY THANKS A LOT, AND PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT THIS SET.

Honestly, i am not playing anymore, i am just finding some fun to code new cards, abilities, giving the opportunity to other users, to make their game more fun.gorem2k wrote:do you have decks for this mod? I don't really know what to try. i'm oldschool 7th edition
I think i am oldschool more that you i have played MTG by real card game during 1994, using BETA, REVISED EDITION, ANTIQUITIES, LEGENDS, ARABIAN NIGHT!!!

Anyway i you find online some cool deck i can make someone for you to test the expansions.

As for quality loss there is generally a little, but it retains most of the quality.NeoAnderson wrote:I know my friendgorem2k wrote:Nice, I will take a look.

Actually, the game will use less CPU power with compressed TDXs because DDS textures are more efficient for use with DirectX. Additionally, by switching to smaller mipmaps when the card zooms out it can speed things up further and uses less memory.
I definitely think it is quite useful to compress the images, not to mention it makes downloading faster for people with slower connections.
This is complete crap, many modders DO compress their images, some modders don't either because they don't know how or because it's not quite as easy to do.gorem2k wrote:yep, that's why nobody else does compress them, because it's crap . Kappa

Most of the images in the base game are not compressed which is part of the reason why the WADs are so large. Some are compressed, but many aren't and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it.

Following you suggestion guys i decompress all 171 TDX, then i recompressed them with DXT1, now the Rar file is 17MB the WAD is 23MB before it was Rar 60MB and WAD 129MB.RiiakShiNal wrote:As for quality loss there is generally a little, but it retains most of the quality.

I personally use the compressed TDX's too, and its great. Really makes the WAD size go down quite a bit.RiiakShiNal wrote:As for quality loss there is generally a little, but it retains most of the quality.NeoAnderson wrote:I know my friendgorem2k wrote:Nice, I will take a look.

Not only that, but on some PC configurations there's a strange bug where cards with uncompressed TDX images glow with a very bright light that makes them hard - if not impossible - to read. So it's always recommended to compress in order to make cards usable by people who could be afflicted by that bug.RiiakShiNal wrote:Actually, the game will use less CPU power with compressed TDXs because DDS textures are more efficient for use with DirectX.
