BTW, where in the current version can I actually see the achievements? I earned a few, but can't find them again...

Hi guys, this is looking really good! I can't wait to earn them all :D

drdev wrote:EDIT: Just noticed Library of Congress and Total Match Wins are identical. Is this an accident? Could I get a different image for one of them?
They are indeed, the art is the one in Battle of Wits (Library of Congress is the title given by Marek14, i think they sound good and go well with the trophies) which i had already used for Total Match Wins and completely forgot to change hehe sorry about that i'll give you a new one for Total Match Wins in my next "update".

And speaking of which, you guys really don't give a break to my photoshop do you ahaha. Planeswalkers, here we go. Great, great idea. I'll post the png's here when they are ready :D

Now regarding the alt-wins trophies, i'm only missing one, Test of Endurance, the alt-losses i haven't start yet, what do you think about those, which ones are going to get developed? The 4 that we can make the opponent lose, plus the pacts? Or just the 4? Oh and what about Final Fortune, Last Chance, Warrior's Oath, instead of having an achievement for losing we could get and achievement for wining in the next turn they are cast...What do you think?

drdev wrote:The one thing that's a little off right now is that the Magic card back is showing through for the faded out trophies, which doesn't look good.
drdev if it helps i can give you the trophies without the magic card, just the border, or can you fix it using some kind of alpha mask to hide the center? If you want i can provide you one in jpg. Or perhaps don't show the art when transparent, just the pedestal, that would be nice too, in fact i think it would be the best and more pratical way to solve it. "Oh come on, show me, show me" (that's what he said to the stripper ahah). By the way, the "Achievement Earned" dialog when the game is over seems good to me :D

EDIT: What do you guys have to say about alternate arts for the planeswalkers? I've found 3 distinct arts for Ajani Vengeant (1 in Shards of Alara, 1 in Duel Decks: Ajani vs Nicol Bolas and 1 promo) and they all look amazing, it would be nice to randomize the art every time you open forge or every time you go to the planeswalkers shelf, but that means a couple more pics to put into the achievements png and not to say more work for drdev...but i'm having a hard time trying to pick one of these.

I just finished fixing it so the semi-transparent trophies don't show the Magic card back through. So Rooger, you don't need to change anything.

Here's what the full Constructed case looks like now:

Looks gorgeous, Dan! And I really love the "Magic rarities" idea, it really gives these achievements the MTG flavor. :)

Yeah, I don't know why I didn't think of that from the beginning.

Also, thought I'd report that by changing it so the achievements are built using layering and dynamic transparency, all of the trophy images, including the shelf, only take up 1.5 MB, so it really isn't adding much to the install. Rooger, thanks for helping to get the images in that format. Very happy that they'll come packaged with the application.

That's the wonderful thing about Magic. It's all possible. That's also why they're achievements, because they are true achievements if you pull them off. :P

The new achievements trophies i see in r27525 are amazing, they have a lot of "character".
probably outdated by now so you should avoid : Innistrad world for Forge (updated 17/11/2014)
Duel Decks for Forge - Forge custom decks (updated 25/10/2014)

No problem drdev  I'm also very pleased to know that they can go with the base install, the shelf is looking really great, you did a excelent job optimizing it.

I already have a few planeswalkers ready for shipping, if you want to test them here they are :D Oh and the totalmatchwins pic that was missing.

I wonder if Phage could actually get two achievements. The easy one for hitting opponent with her, and the hard one for getting Phage onto the battlefield under opponent's control and making him lose that way. There are a few ways how to do this, for example exiling Phage with Summoner's Egg, donating it to opponent and then breaking it.

I decided the dialog that displays when you earn an achievement needed a facelift. What do you think?

In the desktop game, it's on the home page menu under Preferences.
In the Android app, it's the second tab on the Settings screen.

Wow, Dan the dialog box is just awesome! I'm with Agetian, well done sir :D

I just passed by to post my progress so far on the planeswalkers, just finished Nissa, Worldwaker and tomorrow i'll finish the rest of them.

By the way, what do you guys think about the alternate art? Some of them have at least one alternate art (from duel decks for example), i'm doing those as well but if you guys don't care for it i'll leave them, even though some have a pretty sick design (Nicol Bolas is awesome). Dan, is it possible to randomize the art to get the several pictures for one single achievement?

Hey, I'm getting a bunch of acheivements while testing cards. Do you think we could disable achievements somehow when we test things?
