Someone, anyone, please help me. I have the newest version, .004, and I desperately would like to have the set images. I downloaded the LQ Set Pictures in the settings, it was 22 thousand pics and some change, but they don't show up in the deck editor, just repeats of the default set. Please, how do I fix this?

ON DESKTOP,

For newer sets, I batch download from mtgimage d0t com (KTK is available)
For all previous sets, I use High-Res Card Image Downloader v. 1.1.0 (search this forum)
or download from Pictures forum

ON ANDROID,

I use IrfanView (Free) to batch re-size all images from desktop version and copy to cache/pics/cards on my Android

Anyone else have problems with the new version gradually slowing down to a crawl? When playing for a while, the UI gets gradually less and less responsive until finally it's completely unplayable. I didn't notice anything in the previous version, but I have just had it installed for a few days.

I have this problem as well, after turn 6, I have to wait 5-7 seconds each phase and longer each turn. This problem has occurred on my Galaxy Tab 8.9 (ICS 4.0.4) since the first Android version came out. And yes, the new version seems slower. The delay starts at turn 4.

Try changing Game Log Verbosity to GAME_OUTCOME. "I think", it helps me... a little.

Just tested, now it suddenly slowed at turn 5. LG G2. I'll go back to the previous version and check if it's better there.

Great app! Just some comments, I don't know if they're possible (as this app is a port of the desktop version as far as I know):
1.) Some way to save a game state in the middle of a game, such that even if we were to exit Forge, restarting it would allow us to resume that match (so it's still possible to respond to messages without quitting that game). I often find myself trying to finish the match (or several rounds, since all games default at best 2 of 3) before using other phone functions because I don't want to lose progress of that match.

2.) If creating a new quest game and using a Custom Distribution, the button for choosing the custom sets is not working.

Thanks!

002 works fine, 004 definitely got worse. I'll have to postpone updating until it is fixed, I guess. Tell me if you want debug logs or anything.

I agree with point 1. Another argument is that currently, you can cheat your way out of quest mode duels by just exiting and restarting the app. If it saved progress mid-duel, that wouldn't be possible.

I'm aware of the major slowdown issue and need to investigate it. I'm pretty sure it was working better in 1.5.28.002, therefore it's most likely the result of the recent GUI refactoring. I'll see what can be done about this in the near future, but meanwhile feel free to reinstall 1.5.28.002 in the meantime.

I apologize for not catching this before releasing .003 or .004.

Technically you can also do that on the desktop version by just opening Task Manager and killing your process. That said, I agree that the ability to save and load games is needed, and it's actually something that's in the works, though through a pretty significant rewrite of parts of the code that one of our devs is just starting on.

And I apologize for not thinking at all about slower devices when creating the refactoring. Dan, if you can pinpoint what causes the slowdown, I can try to fix it. Otherwise, I have some ideas, but I can't test them because I don't have an android device...

for .004, I notice significant delay on Declare Attackers phase and Declare Blockers phase when attacking and blocking, I can hear the sound of tapping before they actually tap and another delay before damage is calculated. The later the game is, the more delay. But there's no delay if there's no creature attacking and blocking.

The interaction between totem armour and deadweight (and possibly other -x/-x effects) is bugged. When a creature with totem armor is enchanted with deadweight and is sent to the graveyard via state base actions, it shouldn't trigger totem armour, but it does in forge.

The new display for charms doesn't slow up correctly in android for users without pictures.
