If the game crashes it is likely that you are missing a required file. You can see what it is crashing on by downloading Rsns deck builder and launching it. It will warn you of what you are missing.

So . . this came up. It seems that I am missing a file for card? Chief Engineer?
I simply deleted the deck data 100079 and the game works fine for right now. I think was missing Mycosynth Golem card from Mirrodin block.

Temporarily remove the wad for the Chief Engineer deck. This sounds like a problem that I need to fix. I will try to look at it tonight. I'm on vacation so it will be tonight. However temporarily removing the wad will let you play the game.

Yes, the golem card is missing in your wads, but it is in firemind's dlc. I did not notice before, because I have the TFM mod installed as well.

Edit: I meant, the golem is missing in VXP's wad.

But that doesn't make sense, wouldn't the TFM version overide this WAD and use his version if it isn't naturally coded?

Yes, it would. But since Hoonster does not have the TFM mod, the card is missing and the games crashes. VXP probably forgot to include the golem into his OTHER_WAD.

But I'm having the same problem. I updated te WADs and my game crashes. However I do have the TFM mod. I was hoping to solve 2 problems at once.

This is a screenshot from Deck Builder. As you can see, the golem is linked to DATA_DLC_TFM_CARD. If you don't have that wad, the game crashes.

alright. I opened up the game, there isnt any cards missing, its just crashing. ive opened up the deck builder, no error codes, too many decks? i dont know. maybe just use the WAD to build decks from now on instead of using the decks themselves.

I have tons of decks installed so I don't believe that is the issue here. I'm not sure what you mean by using the wad to build decks. I keep the decks separate from the core wad for several reasons one of them being that people who just want to build their own don't need them.

that is what i mean, but when i tried that it lagged harder than ever, so i removed it all together.

It just doesnt seem to work. The deck builder gives no evidence to the culprit. I cannot find out why. Does it require the mod for the ALT_PLW_MOD that Neo made? I think ill test it with just your mod, i figure that Chief engineer might not work but progress in any direction is still progress.

OK! i found an issue!

NEO_CVK_032: Chord Caller

Location 100080_RUG_CHORD

that is what couldnt be loaded by my test run, i used a vanilla deck builder (it only had base game cards) to test your mod, i took out Chief engineer so that i could find what is causing the problem. IS there a card from a WAD that i dont have, that you have?

In order to experience the awesomeness of the VXP dlc, I propose the following:

- create a copy of the original clean game folder
- insert Rick's d3dx9_43.dll
- insert Data_DLC_Core_Fixes.wad
- insert three VXP wads
- insert "what you need" from the original VXP post
- delete "Data_Decks_100079_CHIEF_ENGINEER.wad (until the fix)
- optional: insert DATA_DLC_PLW_NEO_UPGRADE.WAD (graphic enhancement)
- optional: insert the fabulous "TheFiremind's dlc" (great opponents; fixes the crash)
- start the EXE in copy folder
- ENJOY (e.g. the "RUG Doctor" deck: way overpowered, but lots of fun)

I got it to work, it requires the convoke files from Neo
now off to update summoles mods!

Not sure if this was mentioned or not, but Garruk Apex Predator is bugged.

His +1 ability 3/3 death touch wolf into the battlefield doesn't work. Simply says can't find proper target for this ability.
I want to thank you so much for the modding experience. I am going to have tons of fun with this.
