Poll: which price import scripts are actually used?
by LordHelmchen » 28 Oct 2014, 23:30
Greetings!
I'm not sure whether its worth the hassle to check and update the expected tables for all scripts on each new set's release.
You can check up to 10 (all) answers, and changing your answers is enabled.

The de facto standard for prices where I am is Star City Games. That's what we use for all trade evaluations, and that's what many local stores use to price their singles. I'm not sure if it's like this everywhere, but for me, SCG prices are really the only ones I'm interested in knowing. Since SCG price scripts aren't available (unless I'm missing something), for the most part I just don't bother with updating prices in MA.

Thought I'd weigh in and mention that for my region, it is SCG, Troll&Toad and TCG Mid for all trades.

Just for the record: there will never be an LHpi.StarCityGames.lua.
They go out of their way to obfuscate their prices in their html code, and imho generally seem to dislike the idea of a well-informed buyer and free market prices.

I believe that the changes Troll & Toad have made to their site makes it just as hard.
I think that TCG's app features at least allow for better scripts and may keep most people happy.
The other sites are becoming a bit too complicated.

Based on the (few) votes and responses, I decided to cease updating most of the LHpi sitescripts. The last common update included sets up to Origins.
Until further notice, only LHpi.tcgplayerPriceGuide and LHpi.magickartenmarkt will be updated.
If you need an update to one of the other sitescripts or a new sitescript for another site, direct your questions to LHpi's thread.
EDIT: I probably should have mentioned that LHpi.magickartenmarkt was finally released and LHpi.tcgplayerPriceGuide received a (minor) update as well

Sorry to hear that LordHelmchen, however it is good to keep TCGPlayer's and MagicKartenMarkt's scripts up-to-date. TCG is becoming a global reference and having that script available and working gives everyone a good idea of their collection's worth on a real world level.
I have however had problems implementing it but will try out the newest version before asking for help at this point in time.
