Champion is broken. I bounced the only creature that the computer controlled in response to it playing (excuse me, casting) a Changeling Titan but the titan stuck around even without actually championing a creature.
A woman came up to me and said / "I'd like to poison your mind / With wrong ideas that appeal to you / Though I am not unkind."

I am still of the opinion that when the rules officially start working, everyone will just call it "the field". It is shorter, more relevant, doesn't conflict with any other terms, and someone who thinks of it as "battlefield" will still understand you easily.GandoTheBard wrote:I'm not sure why saying battlefield feels wrong. It is a mouthful and could be more eloquent but it's not off flavor or just a whimsical change.

O foliage, cloak thy ravaged one
In vestments cut for war.

Im certain that it will be something like "field" for casual players, but Tournament play can be rather rigid, depending on the judge. Yes field makes more sense in an abstract way (easier to say and think of...playing field) but Battlefield is more flavorful and we know how ridiculous WotC gets about flavor. (Though that didn't stop them from nixing Mana Burn :p)

Old bug still shows up:
Academy Ruins still returns useless cards to your library.
That means: the card you get back is unplayable. You cannot select it, cannot play it.
It ruins the Ruins.

Elephant Ambush is listed as a Sorcery when it should be an Instant.

Compy just targeted Voice of Duty with Aggressive Urge.
Although the Urge had no effect on the Voice, the targeting itself should have been impossible.

The computer had Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker in play, while I had no permanents in play. Nicol targeted my Mana Pool with its first ability (destroy target permanent) twice, then when he triggered the third ability (Opponent loses seven life, discards seven cards, and sacrifices seven permanents) the game tried to get me to sacrifice my Mana Pool, at which point the game crashed.

Volrath's Stronghold costs 1B to activate not 1U.

Sol Ring can't be directly tapped to pay for a spell. It has to be emptied into the mana pool first (be wary of misclicks

I actually laughed at this one.larryking1933 wrote:The computer had Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker in play, while I had no permanents in play. "You WILL sacrifice your manapool". "Don't you dare talking back to me! Sacrifice it immidiately!"
(use Dalek voice) "Sacrifice!" "Sacrifice!" "Sacrifice!"

Seriously though, serves you right for letting compy get 9 counters on Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker. You should not have let that happen.
So it is not a bug. It is justified punisment.

Not so much a bug as a feature.GandoTheBard wrote:Sol Ring can't be directly tapped to pay for a spell. It has to be emptied into the mana pool first (be wary of misclicks)
All mana sources that give more than 1 mana must be tapped to add mana to the mana pool instead of tapping them as part of paying a cost.
So Sol Ring works as intended and expected.
I would actually think it will remain like this. The only changes to expect may be to the mana pool itself, not to how cards put mana in it.
The reason why it all feels a bit cumbersome at times is because in a game with the real cards, we all tap lands and artifact and creatures for mana and immediately use it to cast something, then use the remaining mana for the next spell without ever considering the mana pool at all.
In MTGForge, the mana pool suddenly is an actual place and you need to click it (a lot) to get your mana. Slows things down but you have to make do with what is possible at this time.

Flowstone Overseer's ability doesn't work.
When asked to select a target creature for its +1/-1 ability, you cannot select any target at all for its ability to activate.
