Does anyone know of any tricks/methods to remove the white corners on the XLHQ images? I would like to view these on my iPhone/iPad, and it would be nice to batch blacken the white corners, or something.

Not sure about that. I tried in the past to autocrop all XLHQ to get only the cropped pic and found some of then were impossible to crop due to a different scale/large or something like that.

Well nobody could tell me thus far where i could get a 300 dpi version of it

I've only been able to get the 200 dpi version, i think it was in the latest torrent pack

Sorry, I only did the scanning -- I don't have processed 300 dpi versions. skibulk may know though.

I've downloaded GIMP and am using the BIMP plugin to batch crop all the images by 20 pixels horizontally and vertically (new resolution: 725x1020)

Seems to work! But am I downgrading the image integrity by doing this?

Before proceeding, copy past your pictures to a new folder
You'll have to do a batch for each different scale/resolution...
Use the Actions panel to record your actions and this is what you'll use in the Automate Batch Menu

First action is to identify the Document size&resolution vs Pixels...
Each picture should have the same Size and Resolution, the number of pixels up there could be change to match the size (megs) of the picture
Then crop changing the canvas size twice, first one would be the sides and top and the second crop would be the bottom....

Now of course, forcing a different resolution on pictures that doesn't match the resolution you were working on will either lose quality or add more quality than it needs...
Fortunately there isn't that many picture sizes....i would suggest starting with 300 dpi then put the 600 dpi aside and do another crop and so on...
if i'm not mistaken, those without borders (i know because i batch process them to add a 3mm border):
16.93 x 23.99 (300dpi)
23.99 x 33.87 (600dpi)
11.01 x 15.7 (200dpi)

You can't find all of them (ie all that WotC made), because not all of them were scanned, etc.
Most of them you can find here. Start with the first post (Huggybaby torrents). Then download those that you're missing from skibulk, charlequin links. MTGCardslist could help you too.

Depends on what you mean by install.

The pictures will need to be placed into the folder(s) of whichever application you are using them for and, as is common between those apps, not all of them use the same folder naming structure. You'll need to read up on the individual app to be certain on how to use them.
