Pretty set, but not deadset. If I'm going to be sharing the effort with other people, I'm willing to switch.
Clojure usually works perfectly fine with java libs and, in fact, the project itself can (and does) contain java code just fine. So far, being on android has caused more lib problems than being on clojure.bestdayever wrote:I wouldn't mind trying to do it but I'm worried about losing some of the fancier java libs (dagger for DI, etc).
That said, Dependency injection is exactly the kind of thing that might cause problems with clojure

No, no structure, the design has changed about twice a week since day 1 (clojure makes even complicated refactorings a breeze). I'll describe the current design here later (at work now).Do you have a MVP structure or how would you describe the design pattern? I would love to take a look.

Sounds good. I know this is thinking way to far ahead but it might be really interesting to implement a words with friends type concept (play a game over a long period of time by just playing whenever you have time, the large amount of phases and steps in MTG might make this difficult or not worth trying).
Can't wait to hear more.

Yes, it's probably too far ahead.bestdayever wrote:Sounds good. I know this is thinking way to far ahead but it might be really interesting to implement a words with friends type concept.

It would be interesting, but just keeping up with the desktop client is already enough work. And I think it would require improvements on the server side (allowing two users to play a very long game where they even lose connection in between).

Hey there, sorry for the hiatus.bestdayever wrote:Can't wait to hear more.
The android app uses the Mage.Common and Mage.Network parts of the Mage repository. However, it has to use a slightly modified version of these packages.
The reason it took me so long to upload is that I wanted to put together a simple way of building the app, which is a bit roundabout due to these changes.
Not to mention, you caught me right in the middle of (unsuccessfully) experimenting with the SlidingMenu package. So the interface is pretty much broken right now.
Unfortunately, I'm only going to get busier over the next couple of months (PhD approaching an end), so the best I can do now is push this to Github in case you still want to have a look (despite all of the above

The code is here: https://github.com/Malabarba/DroidMage
