Promo and Box Set Cards

I've updated the missing promos list to include all the OGW promos.

335 cards now! We're falling behind. Since promos are being released at a rate of 50-80 cards per booster set these days, we have a sustainability issue. If I can find a proper scanner for foil cards, a friend of mine said that he could run a KickStarter for these. He would use the funding to purchase the cards and cover an hourly rate to scan and process them. Expenses would be publicly accounted for. Cards can be mailed out to backers as rewards. We would see better consistency and quality in our promo scans.

Edit: On second though, I'm worried about legal implications, so maybe KickStarter isn't the way to go.

Hi to all

Some of you might know that I'm the owner of Magiclibrarities. While, I can't help with any Promos or Rarities after 2010, as I stopped my Global Foreign Promos collection at that time (best thing that I did), I might have cards or scans of some missing promos. I've been communicating with Skibulk lately in order to help since I have a much better scanner now (Canon canoscan 9000F Mark II), but I can't find a way to scan some Foils Promos with the whitest hologram, in order for him to proceed them. I'be been following the tutorial and spent 2 hours trying all kinds of orientations and tricks with no success so far.

I would try a sleeve instead of using tape for one of the suggestion

People have tried placing a barrier between the cards and the scanner before. Matte acetate, lamination film, anti-glare plexiglass, matte screen protectors, etc. These serve to diffuse the reflected light so that it reaches the light sensor more uniformly. You get the right appearance, but the image is blurred and the quality of the scan is compromised.

I just learned about Diffraction Grating. I wonder if it might work since it's a clear material (vs a cloudy matte surface).

Thanks Kudit. I'm very bad with Internet technology, but I will try my best to reply. My webmaster created a specific program for me so I could use it easily, at the basis it was html, but then it was changed to Dynamic. Any cards or MTG products are added one by one with all the specific info and scans either in the index or tabs, it's like a 24/7 job. I hope, I answered your question.
I'm based in Paris, France.

While facing problems with Foils cards, there's some cards that I really want to add or upgrade on my website. I don't know if they are needed here. @skibulk let me know, so I can scan them and provide them to you by Dropbox as usual whenever I will have the time.
