First of all, thanks for this awesome new game mode! It's actually one of the main reasons why I finally joined the 21st century and bought a smartphone :)

I was wondering how you acquire basic lands in Planar Conquest mode? Or how you add them to your deck, because I seem to recall removing a basic Swamp from my deck earlier when I first unlocked some multi-lands, but now that I'm getting ready to move towards a 60-card deck (and beyond, eventually) I can't seem to select it anymore?
I might just be missing something obvious though :)

On the other hand, I do suppose basic lands are a difficult / non-obvious case, so maybe they were missed somehow (aside from the removing-from-Aether-selection thing)?
If so, I would suggest maybe handing out 1 free random (plane-appropriate, but not Commander-color-appropriate) basic per win (probably without notifying the user)? That would allow you to eventually get enough basics for whatever you want to do (decks for alternate commanders, 250+ card decks, using a healthy dose of basic-land-fetch cards without running out eventually, ...).
I don't know if their Exile value would have to be lower than regular commons (1 per win won't make you super-rich), but I would certainly suggest keeping them Exile-able, so you can get rid of the ones you don't need (as there are so many different ones, they could clog the card lists quite a bit :))
Bonus suggestion : Chaos fights give full-art basics (from Un-sets etc) instead of plane-appropriate ones.

Basic lands aren't acquired.

To add basics, when editing your Commander's deck click on the "more" icon (...) and then click add basic lands. Same way it works in classic Quest Mode and in Limited formats. Basic lands are setup in a way where they don't actually exist as part of your collection, but they are available to add directly into your deck.

Hey guys just wanted to say thanks for this android app. Its great. i actually like the AI in this as well when your just paying 1 on 1. While i still use Manalink as im a die hard guy i love to try out new apps and just wanted to say good job.

I just released 1.5.51.005, which contains a new Statistics screen for Planar Conquest, accessible from the main drop down menu. It also includes a fix so pressing Back from any of the conquest menu screens (besides the Multiverse screen) goes back to the Multiverse screen, and from there goes back to the Load Conquest screen. I made a similar fix for quest mode. (@friarsol, let me know if this resolves your concern)

For the new screen, I made it so it can show statistics for each individual plane or for all planes put together. Note that it does not subtract exiled cards (they're still counted towards unlocked cards, commanders, and planeswalkers). It also doesn't account for wins, losses, or unlocked cards from Chaos battles, at least not at the moment.

Let me know if there's any other stats that should be shown on this screen.

The themes are pretty unstable (example Phyrexia theme) but overall love the app and hope to see it grow.

Yup here's the log, I'm hosting all of my files on my Sdcard which might be causing the null ptr errors. It's odd that this occurs on a clean install.

so far Planar Conquest seems pretty balanced, nice change of pace.

I've noticed that when your planeswalker is your commander, casting him only costs generic mana, is this intended? For example, my Sorin, Solemn Visitor costs {4} instead of {2} {W} {B}

Yes, that's intended. It's designed that way so your planeswalker doesn't have to match your deck's colors.

Enjoying the new Planar Conquest mode.

However, I would still like to ask - if it possible in the future...
1) Could there be some alternate victory conditions - is it right now only to collect a certain number of cards?

2) Could there be random events on matches? Not all matches.. just a small chance to have them appear to spice up the match. Examples:
a) Howling mine in play for both players
b) All non-creature spells cost 1 more
c) etc...

This is along the lines of the cards in play in the dungeons of the old Shandalar game. Again - not on every match - just a (small) random chance to happen.

3) When PlaneWalking maybe some chance of a random guardian to face in a Planeschase format match?

Just thinking of ways to make it really different and move away from just playing matches to collect cards.

Anyways - It is a nice addition to an already great app. Keep up the good work :-)

The main "victory" condition is conquering all the events at least once, with unlocking all the cards being a stretch goal. That said, given you can play events multiple times and given that Chaos battles offer rewards and opponents not found elsewhere, there's still reason to play on after that.

I have something similar to this in mind, but it won't be random. Rather, each event will offer 3 additional tiers (where you'll earn an Uncommon, Rare, and Mythic emblem for the square). Each tier will either increase the deck difficulty or introduce special rules like these that are designed to favor the opponent.

I've heard similar requests, so I definitely plan to look into doing something. Perhaps an opponent you must defeat the first time you travel to a plane and that has a chance to challenge you again (perhaps with increased difficulty or special rules) on subsequent trips to that plane. Perhaps there could be an additional opponent when you leave a plane too. Whether losing to such an opponent has negative consequences (like being prevented from entering the new plane or leaving the current plane) is something I'd like to hear feedback on.

Thanks for the input and I'm glad to hear people are enjoying Planar Conquest so far.

What are the "events" ? Are these matches in each square or something else?

Glad to hear you are working to implement other mechanics to add variety to the matches, and would really like the Planeschase part implemented. I envisioned it as a guardian (random - yes i like random.. lol) to the plane you are trying to visit. Failure to beat him would be the loss of the emblems you used to travel and staying in the current plane. So as to not make it a huge stumbling block to progression, maybe the player could commit more (50%, 100% more?) of the Planeswalk emblems to planewalk and that will allow the player to bypass the guardian altogether?

I say random events/matches just to make each playthrough a little unpredictable. However if you want to implement it as a fixed structure to denote increased difficulty then thats ok too.

I believe there are some known performance issues that are being worked on which affect both the app and the desktop version.
