New Blood still has problems. Now it change the chosen type to vampire text in the card, but the card in't treated as a vampire by the game. For example, if you gain control of a goat, change the type goat by vampire, the card now says that the creature is a vampire. But if you have for example Edgar Markov in game and attack with it, the goat doesn't get +1/+1 counter of Edgar Markov and it should, because it is a vampire.TRT wrote:thanks fixedAlastor wrote:New Blood doesn't change the chosen type to vampire even if you get the control of the creature. If you gain control of an Angel, for example, and chose "angel", even if you control the creature it still be an angel, not a vampire.

Any specific steps involved there?

As you can see in this image, I get the control of Scion Summoner with New Blood and change Eldrazi to vampire. The creature is now a vampire as it says in the text in the right of the image. Even it get +1/+1 from Legion Lieutenant. But when I attack with Edgar Markov, Scion Summoner doen't get the +1/+1 counter.TRT wrote:Thanks for rechecking, however I can't reproduce that yetAlastor wrote:New Blood still has problems. I think Sungold Sentinel should be flagged as a card the AI cannot play well:
- Code: Select all
AI:RemoveDeck:All

When Sky Swallower enters the battlefield, the opponent doesn't gain control of all other permanents.

I noticed lands like Port Town aren't asking to reveal a plains/island anymore even if I have one in my hand. Maybe a bug?

Well, they did NOT claim anything about the % of VOW or VOC support... (Even if it only took the team a month to 100% MID since the pre-release !)Dynamo345 wrote:this is a great update
but i notice several cards are missing from VOC
i don't see Spectral Arcanist nor Breath of the Sleepless for example

I think Mystic Remora should be flagged as a card the AI cannot play well. If AI has it in their initial hand, it will play it and every turn it will spend all its mana to pay the cumulative unkeep, so, the AI won't play anything more in the rest of the game unless it have no mana enought to pay the cumulative unkeep.

I have a weird situation. I do not know if Forge is malfunctioning, or if I do not understand the rules of the game.
I used Mirrorhall Mimic to copy a doublesided werewolf creature the opponent had. But my creature did not transform from human to werewolf and back as it became night and day.

It's correct behavior, albeit a bit counterintuitive.Fregnor wrote:I have a weird situation. I do not know if Forge is malfunctioning, or if I do not understand the rules of the game.

Copy effects like Mirrorhall Mimic can only copy one side of double-faced permanents. That's the only set of characteristics of a permanent that exists at any point.
Now, Mirrorhall Mimic is, physically, a transforming double-faced card, which means it *can* technically transform. But it won't have much of an effect.
Let's assume that you used the Mimic to copy the front face of double-faced Werewolf. It has Daybound. Part of the rules for Daybound says:
"702.145c Any time a player controls a permanent that is front face up with daybound and it’s night, that player transforms that permanent. This happens immediately and isn’t a state-based action."
So, what happens when it becomes night? Your Mimic has daybound and it's front face up. That means it will transform to its other face.
But, alas! It still has the copy effect that copies the front face of opponent's Werewolf, and that effect still applies, so even though it HAS physically transformed, it will still be just the Human face of the Werewolf. What more, now it's BACK face up and has daybound, which means it no longer satisfies the condition of 702.145c, and won't transform again. Only permanents with daybound that are front face up can be affected by the automatic transformation. So it's stuck and since daybound prevents any transformation of its permanent except transformation it expressly allows, it will never transform back to the front face again.
If your Mimic copied the back face of opponent's Werewolf, it would be a permanent with front face up and nightbound, which would switch the transformations off immediately: nightbound cannot transform it because it is front face up and nothing else can transform it because it has nightbound.
