AI obsessively uses land activation abilities when unnecessa
by Haytrid » 13 Nov 2025, 23:58
Good evening. If this is not the correct space for this, please correct me.
I play a *lot* of Forge to test decks, mostly commander.
I noticed that the AI will obsessively use land activation abilities even when unnecessary. Two examples below.
The land that makes a creature unblockable. I know there are two commonly used in the format. The AI will use it on a creature over and over even though I have no creatures to block with.
The land that does proliferation. I *think* it was karn's wharf. The AI had a thrummingbird out and would activate the land each turn obsessively even though there were NO counters on the board.
If you need more detail I can repeat the matches and ID the specific cards and circumstances. The reason these two stood out is I had land issues and AI had an open field and wasted it with these activations rather than progressing his board.
I'm not sure if a lay-person like me can help with scripting but if so, feel free to point me to the thread.
Thank you for your tireless work on this, it is greatly appreciated.
Kind regards.
