I don't know actually, haven't looked at the code in awhile. It should be possible to have artifacts that exclusively have mana abilities show up there...

Also, I think moving animated manlands up to the rest of the creatures might be a good idea(check for noncreature land instead of just land).
O forest, hold thy wand'ring son
Though fears assail the door.
O foliage, cloak thy ravaged one
In vestments cut for war.

The computer played Dream Stalker, but I was prompted to select the permanent to return to its hand.

Not good: Goblin Chieftain also effects opponent's goblins.

Also:Goblin Piledriver is bugged. If you attack with 2 piledrivers, both should get +2/+0, but they do not.
I noticed this when attacking with just 2 piledrivers.
Reminds me of the bug we had with Essence Warden and the like, that failed to see another copy of itself enter play.

Worst part of it all: If the piledrivers had gotten the +2/+0 bonus, I would have won the game... now I lost it. :(

And the fun continues...
Compy plays goblins, I play elves.
I attack with a bunch of 2/2 wolf tokens, made by Wren's Run Packmaster (which gives the tokens deathtouch) and compy blocks 1 wolf token with his Goblin Piledriver. (which is 2/3 thanks to a Goblin King)
In a perfect world, both the wolf and the goblin should be dead after this fight...
You guessed it, goblins cheat and the Goblin Piledriver survives the deathtouch damage!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGHHH!(sorry, that just needed to be said.)

It just one of those days. No matter what you do, the bugs get you every time. I hate bugs.

Third time's the charm. Merrow Harbinger does not let you search for a merfolk card upon entering the battlefield.
That's it. I'm done for today. I'm off to snoreville. Hopefully I don't encouter this many bugs tomorrow.
(And I will not even mention the moxes here. Oh, that's a beauty, but Dennis knows about it.)

Yikes, I'm not sure what's going on.... I can't reproduce this, attacking with 2 Piledrivers correctly give them +2/+0, attacking with 3 will give all three of them +4/+0...
Does anyone else have this bug on the 01/01 version?

Deathtouch most likely stopped working because of the combat code changes I made awhile back, I'll have to do some debugging to fix that one.

Hm, and Merrow Harbinger doesn't work because in the code I referred to it as "Merfolk Harbinger"
As for the Moxen, this is a complete mystery to me

Traumatic Visions has a really ugly dialogue box when choosing cast or basic lancycling... the casting cannot be actually seen.

Hatchlings from Eventide are missing a space when their "enters the battlefield with counters" ability is on stack.

Computer attacked with Lord of Extinction that was 6/6. I blocked with two creatures of combined power 6. Both creatures died in combat, but Lord of Extinction survived as 8/8 with 6 damage.

All damage should be checked at the same time...

Card Bugs:
Guided Strike does not work (in any sense: no +1/+0, no first strike, no card draw)
Giant Harbinger should be 3/4 creature instead of 2/4.
Deathtouch doesn't seem to work (first stike deathtouch not as cool as it should be).
Token Bugs:
Computer blocked non-flyers with Cloudseeder tokens.
Game Bugs:
Game seriously bogs down in every game with incessent "UPDATING PICTURE!!! #:623" messages.
I suspect the game does not provide true random distribution of cards in the draft (and perhaps the quests). I see the same rares repeatedly draft after draft (even pack after pack within a draft) and quest after quest. I can see the other player's cards in a draft, but is there any way to see their sideboards so I can try to generate card distributions in drafts to try to quantify the problem?

This one is my fault, sorry about that. In the last several weeks I converted about 30+ cards from code to keyword only.

I successfully commented out the code for Aggressive Urge; Guided Strike and Might of Oaks. I somehow forgot to add the proper keywords for these three cards to their card entries located in the cards.txt file.

Next Beta release will have this repair in place. In the meanwhile, people can edit their cards.txt file to match the data below:

Code: Select all
Aggressive Urge
1 G
Instant
Target creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn. Draw a card.
spPumpTgt:+1/+1
Cantrip

Guided Strike
1 W
Instant
Target creature gets +1/+0 and gains first strike until end of turn. Draw a card.
spPumpTgt:+1/+0/First Strike
Cantrip

Might of Oaks
3 G
Instant
Target creature gets +7/+7 until end of turn.
spPumpTgt:+7/+7

Chris converted Guided Strike (also Might of Oaks and Aggressive Urge) to keyword, but for some reason his changes didn't stick. I probably overwrote them somehow :(
Giant Harbinger is a 3/4 in my version.
Token for Cloudseeder is missing a "." at the end of the keyword.

I'll look into deathtouch.

EDIT: Chris, you DID make the changes (I just looked through the changelog). I think I must've overwritten them.

This may be another example of my having too many Forge projects in Eclipse. I tend to do my work to one of my copies of my SVN local copy. Most of these projects do not result in usable code ... it just gives me some more experience and I throw them away.

I take notes of the work that I do and if i am happy with the work I will then apply these notes to my SVN local copy. As such, I tend to do my work twice ... and I will make mistakes at times.

Aha, for me the Deathtouch bug only seems to occur when attacking with wolves created by Wren's Run Packmaster.
What happens is that by the time the check is made whether the source (Wolf) dealing damage to blocker it somehow doesn't have Deathtouch anymore.
Why? I have no clue #-o

A couple bugs with Snow-Covered lands:

Sometimes in Quest matches (and regular matches too I suppose, but haven't tested), my snow-covered lands for some reason will show up as if they didn't have an image file. I'm pretty sure they do, because on some other times, even during the same games, snow-covered lands displaying their image just fine will show up.

Also, when paying for 2/X hybrid costs, snow mana apparently won't count as colored mana. I was trying to pay for Spectral Procession with a Plains, an Emeria, the Sky Ruin and a Snow-Covered Plains, but couldn't because the later wouldn't pay for W, but 1 instead.
