In addition of the Master of the Wild Hunt token bug, every turn a trigger on this creature will ask you and the AI to discard a card from hand, which is not mentioned in its description.

@ Stassy : it's linked to the wrong CSV ID of the wolf token, that in reality makes Rotting Rats token. You'll get ASAP the fixed version, don't worry.

For everyone has downloaded V.1.1 : PLEASE DOWNLOAD V1.2, v.1.1 has a bad file that messed up MagicLimited.

Rotting Rats asked me to discard a card (my handsize was 0). couldn´t discard anything and had to concede the game.
Retired a long time ago. I will not reply.

This discard bug is an engine issue that pops out sometimes (I experienced it on Ideas Unbound too, added a code to avoid that and get the bug again). The engine is supposed to ignore the discard command if the player has 0 cards in hand, but sometimes this don't happen
However, I'll add an hand size control next time.

I think the discard function works fine. If you can give me a savegame of the error you're experiencing, I can probably fix it. My guess is that it's not the Rotting Rats' fault.Gargaroz wrote:This discard bug is an engine issue that pops out sometimes (I experienced it on Ideas Unbound too, added a code to avoid that and get the bug again). I have two quick questions if you will all forgive me. OK so say I pull all the downloads and apply updates to reach this 2010 patch version on my system to get it all up to date. Then I want to build a deck. Can I just use the original DECK.EXE to build a deck and will it show the new cards or is there a custom deckbuilder to include and go with all the added cards?
Second, once I've built some new decks with the newer cards included hopefully, which program do I use to launch the game Magic.exe or the other one?
Thank you for not beating me up too badly for being a bit out of touch. Thank you all very much and I loudly applaud your amazing efforts!

You can use the original deck.exe
Just use Magic.exe to play magic with new cards, it's on constructed mode by default.

Thank you for the quick reply! I got it working finally (again). The latest Magic Limited seems to be what I am after. Lots of new cards (and don't really care which cards are missing).
I don't see mentioned what the difference is between launching with LaunchML.exe or just clicking magiclimited.exe.
C:\Magic is up to around 700 meg now and starting to wonder how much of that is needed or extraneous at this point. Also curious if my old playdecks ".dck files" will cause magiclimited.exe to crash or fail in some way if they include a missing card?
Anyone brought up the dicsussion about maybe keeping the master c:\Magic folder image on sourceforge or using googlecode.com
Some people use tortoisehg or SVN or other mechanisms for automatically pulling updates from a repository.
For example once I have tortoisehg installed I can run this batch command to pull a copy of the latest folder for this other project
like here
http://code.google.com/p/support/wiki/GettingStarted
saves on all of the uploading to paridshare which in one recent case just corrupts your upload and propagates garbage and perhaps hurts our (your) project.
(begin CMD file)
"C:\Program Files\TortoiseHg\hg.exe" clone https://trinitycore.googlecode.com/hg/ trinitycore2
pause
(end CMD file)
Just trying to be helpful.

Yes a repository for the code would be good, however all the patching on the exe isn't done in any text format.
And as everyone knows binary blobs and content versioning doesn't mix well except for having copies of old files.
Plus distributing the whole Manalink software would be illegal, as Wizards owns the rights to MtG and MicroProse has the rights to Manalink.
