Yes, it's pretty painful by this point; it's dragging along. I couldn't finish a quest match using HQ pictures without getting a heap error and with LQ pictures I have to restart Forge between each match.Caranthol wrote:WAW, seeing all the cards in play, the game shall run very low, doesn't it?

Caranthol, you obviously never tried a green saproling deck in Forge, where you use our good buddy Rhys to copy all saproling tokens every turn, preverably with an Essence Warden in play.
Then, you will learn the true meaning of S-L-O-W!!!
Meanwhile, Compy is being mean to me again.
My deck: Big11, compy: radom generated deck, colors B/G.
I attack with 4 wolf tokens (2/2), all with deathtouch thanks to Wren's Run Packmaster.
Compy blocks with 4 creatures: Urborg Elf, Briarhorn, Ifh-Biff Efreet and Patagia Golem.
As expected, 3 of my wolves die.
Compy only loses the Urborg Elf.
Compy had no other creatures in play and therefore, all 4 of them should have died.
I am not amused. (understatement alert!)

Hmm, yeah I still don't know why the Wren's Run Packmaster bug happens. When I debug it, what becomes apparent is that for some reason Deathtouch gets removed from the tokens for a split second, just as damage is being assigned 
For some reason this only happens when the tokens attack (when they block, deathtouch seems to work just fine).
By the way, speaking of slowdowns, I was testing Doubling Season together with Rhys the Redeemed... I had two Doubling Season s in play, and using Rhys' second ability a few times just flooded the play area with tokens, I think I ended up with a few thousand after just a few turns

Not sure what's going on, my local version seems to work just fine (I'll try and commit something including my gui properties.xml).
And freestorageaccount, that's very strange: 5 tokens are slowing the game down already? It might have something to do with Conspiracy, could you post the deck list? I'd like to test this for myself.

Err yes, ln(4000)/ln(8) is like what 4? I uploaded the entire questData file, which can now also be found via http://www.mediafire.com/freestorageaccount; I think Turntimber Ranger and Conspiracy are in the deck under the name 'Golgari'. (For a few minutes after I uploaded the file, MediaFire thought it was January, so at least they've got bugs too.) But be forewarned: while the compressed version hasn't grown tremendously since last time, the new file un-RARs to nearly 1/2 MB. It is a continuation of the old, in case you run into the infamous 'Buffy I' error or perhaps another.
If token stacking means what I think it does, will there be a fast way to enchant one token and attack with the other 3999 or 2000 or whatever your little heart desires? I think dialog boxes may present some difficulties in this respect.

All right, this is getting ridiculous... can you explain why two games in a row as soon as I tapped a dual land, I got a game loss?
I'll see if it happens with regular lands too..
Actually, I can still continue playing... this is weird. Yep... confirmed... clicking on any other land works fine. As soon as I choose a mana from the dual, it pops up the game loss window, but it has no correlation to the actual game state, and other than being annoying popping up, isn't affecting the action either.
Even better- the gmae loss window is there in the background as soon as I select New Game from the main window. It somehow gains focus only when clicking the dual land mana selection list dialogs...
Oh, and clicking on the buttons causes the current game to terminate and those buttons do what they normally would. But even on the first game, it shows 1-1 match score.

Yes, yes, no. As I said, whenever the stack of tokens was clicked on, destroyed, dealt damage, or otherwise affected, a single card would slip off the stack to be experimented on, decrementing the stack's quantity by 1. Attacking with the whole thing would probably involve clicking it n(3999, 2000, etc.) times in succession, each click splitting of a card and designating it attacker(which would hopefully, reform into their own stack on the spot). , it is a lot better than hunting tokens in their current groups of 4, and hey, how many thousand tokens do you need attacking anyways(even if giving yourself a "task" of bringing compy to -foo life, a couple Beastmaster Ascension -s and ...[ ])?Do remember that so far this is purely conceptual, being something I visualized and have not had(and probably shall not have) time to code. And GUI would be a big concern either way.

Rob, I think that is just the AI evolving due to having been played so much.
As a result, it now is capable of developing new and devious ways of messing with your mind in an attempt to win more games.
Here, it clearly tried to trick you into thinking you had lost the game. It's getting smarter!

I use the impenetrableforest deck made by apthaven, compy has a random generated deck.
Early on, I play Timber Protector and 2 turns later, Wrath of God the board, leaving 2 Treefolk Harbinger in play, thanks to the protector's ability. So far so good.
A little further in the game, I decide to use another WoG to clear the board again, but mistakingly cast Armageddon. Doh.
This has unforseen results, see attached screenshot. All lands get destroyed, except for my Forests, which STILL have indestructable as given by the Timber Protector. That effect should have dropped off the moment he hit the graveyard. It did drop off the treefolk creatures, but stayed on the land.
So this gave me no less than 2 WTF?!? moments. Firstly, I expected that black critter to die and he did not (WoG, remember!) and then upon realising my mistake, I wondered why my forests where still there...
Not as messed up as Rob's sadistic AI, but still rather strange. Now, back to basics for me with: "clicking the card you want to play, lesson 1".
Oh, look at the picture, you can see that I had a 50% chance of clicking the right card...

You have Doubling Season and Opalescence. You enchant Doubling Season with Followed Footsteps.
In your next upkeep, you get 2 token copies of Doubling Season (2^1). You have 3
In your second upkeep, you get 8 tokens (2^3). You have 11.
In your third upkeep, you get 2048 tokens (2^11). You have 2059.
In your fourth upkeep, you get 2^2059 tokens. This is a 620-digit number, vastly bigger than the number of particles in the observable universe. Guaranteed to crash any machine
BTW, since Doubling Season was my suggestion in the first place, I would like to point a rules-lawyering caveat. Doubling Season does NOT double counters that are placed on something as part of the cost. Most notably, it does NOT double the loyalty counters gained by using plus abilities of planeswalkers (but it DOES double counters they enter the battlefield with).
It also doesn't double counters gained from certain other cards, like Bloodletter Quill, Scarscale Ritual or Hatchet Bully.
If a token is doubled, any effect that would be set on the original token is set on the copy as well (since there's no "original" or "copy", both tokens are produced at the same time directly). This means that both tokens from Elemental Appeal will be exiled and all tokens from Kiki-Jiki will die. It also means that Dual Nature, Saproling Burst or Tetravus will count track all the tokens (so you can remove one counter from Tetravus to create two Tetravites, than sacrifice them both to put four +1/+1 counters on Tetravus).
Moving counters is not a basic action, it's just removing and adding a counter. Doubling Season WILL double the adding part (very nasty with graft creatures). Remember though that it's not possible to move a counter from a permanent to itself. (not sure if it's rules or just if nothing permits it yet)
Time counters on suspend cards, delay counters from Ertai's Meddling, charge counters on Lightning Storm, and poison counters are not placed on permanents, and are therefore not affected.
It only matters whether a counter is placed on your permanent or whether a token is placed under your control, not who actually controls the effect. Your Doubling Season won't affect tokens from your Hunted Dragon (but will affect your opponent's one).
Wither is apparently exempt from Doubling Season, since it's not, strictly speaking, an "effect". Wither is a static ability that affects damage. (not 100% sure on this one, but it would match the consensus I got after asking whether lifelink is affected by Rain of Gore).
