Paths not saving after exiting Magic Album

Postby Mavrick593 » 25 Jun 2010, 04:13

After updating to version 1.0.8, every time I start it up I must re-establish the path names for decks folder, inventory folder, default filter, and images folder (all four of the settings under Tools>Preferences). I was wondering if this is a known bug or something that should be brought up. I couldn't find it anywhere else in the forums.

Thanks in advance!

Can't confirm the bug. It works for me.
How long are the paths? Do you use network paths?
Check the file "Config\Preferences.ini" in MA folder. Can it be written?

The config file can be written.

The paths aren't long:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Magic Album\Images

C:\Program Files (x86)\Magic Album\Filters\Default ENG.ini

C:\Program Files (x86)\Magic Album\Decks

C:\Program Files (x86)\Magic Album\Inventory

Should I just save these paths to the config file directly?

Move Magic Album to some other directory (not program files), beacouse of compatibility files - windows is writing them in local\virtual store...

I think this is your problem.

I don't know why but it's working fine now. I moved it like you suggested and then saw that it was saving the paths again and I moved it back just to test it and it still works.

Thanks for all your help, and Goblin, keep up the good work!
