With the release of the newest version (woot!), I am retiring this quest. I finished with a record of 132-84. I'll be starting the new one up as soon as the pictures copy over from the June 5th version. I'll fill everybody in periodically on this one as well.

I think that it may be time for me to retire my quest and start over. I reached 334 wins and 12 losses.

There are close to 160 AI decks to face so it should not be too boring. You may want to wait until I update the rarity files and upload to the new beta topic. The new rarity files that I will upload will allow the new cards to be available for the quest mode card pool.

rotflmao! The computer just tried to Threaten my Citanul Centaurs! The centaurs just sat there and said "you tried what, again?"

I'm now 4-3 in the new version. I've got an 0/2 Plant Wall that I got almost immediately.

I finished the day with a 7-4 record. The Barney Rubble decks will have to wait until I have more direct damage in the deck so that I can kill him without worrying about all of those damned walls.

The plant wall is nice. It is hard to sell cards at the start, but if you can get enough credits to train to 0/3 … it can make a difference. But what to sell?
Which colors did you pick and did they come with any threat removal?

I went with red/green, and there isn't anywhere near enough damage/removal yet to kill all those walls. I may have to check the other colors when next I have access to my computer and see if the other colors have enough removal to wipe away the walls.

Some decks might have to be toned down somewhat and some might have to be toned up. I will look at that deck and see if there is some room for adjustments.

That may not be necessary. I think the key to beating Barney Rubble is playing with lots of direct damage, namely Lightning Bolts, Incinerates, Shocks, Blazes, Fireballs, etc. I just haven't been able to get enough of that yet. When I do, I'll be able to beat it. Getting a Wolf may help as well.

I had to "roll the dice" a few times and I finally got a pool of cards with some promise. I now have a 41 card R/W deck that is mostly creatures and Land. I went with this pool since it has an Akroma, Angel of Fury and I have never played with this card before.
I sold my black, green and blue cards and got enough credits to buy and train my plant wall to 1/3 with deathtouch and purchased a 1/2 Wolf Pet. Granted, I had to sell most of my cards to do this and I am not sure that I would try this same approach a second time.
I hope to out rush the computer for a number of games while I wait for some good R/W cards to appear. I might get lucky and win Akroma, Angel of Fury's sister. That would be fun.

Currently I'm 14-14. I'm playing mainly with a red deck, though I made a green one right before I left for work. Mixing Jedit Ojanen of Efrava and Epic Proportions could get really ugly for the opponent if he's playing green.

I recently won my 25th match and enjoyed playing against several quest assignment decks. I am continuing with my decision to sell all B,G,U cards and to only keep the W and R cards.
I suspect that a few of the easy and medium decks may need some minor adjustments. I am not sure that it is necessary though … I think that I should wait to see how other people feel about the play balance.
People may feel that the quest mode proves that the computer AI can put up a good fight with a good deck.

I'm currently 28-20 with a couple of hours before I call it a night. I'm currently alternating between a red deck and a green deck. I've managed to win 2 Time Walks to this point. They'll both be going away when I get to 51 wins. The green deck has a Lhurgoyf in it. Between him and the other fatties I have in that deck, it's going to win me a bunch of matches. I'm still partial to red, though. All that burn...
Plus the dragons...

OK, Ned Flanders is officially cheesy. 2nd turn Hellkite Overlord with an Entomb and Exhume play. d'oh. I like it. That deck won't be an automatic win for me.
Edit: Game 2, Entomb, Reanimate, Hellkite Overlord. ouch. I might have to try and put a version of this deck together.
