similar to the above... if a player kills 2+ creatures of the AI during the first turn... sometimes (allthetime?) the AI will not roll enough dice for the deathblows. Below for the deathblow only 2 dice were rolled, indicating that only 1 of the 2 creatures destroyed took their deathblow opportunity.

Infernal Preacher - Frightwave, doesn't appear to function properly. When activated, the initiative dice is rolled, but no options to push applicable creatures is given.

I've madesome changes that I think will improve it. This next release I want to focus on the AI and have already made a lot of improvements.

did a little more testing... and i was able to push a creature once. it was local to the preacher, and there was only 1 option given the roll of the init die. the previous 2 times where a die was rolled, no creatures were local and there was 2+ creatures that were effected.

just giving some more info.

kudos again to telen for his hard work and time on his program.

Thanks for the info. Were the pieces that you were able to push were enemies with spawn cost less than the initiative die roll? We're others not allowed to be moved?

Here's another example.

In turn 2 there were 2 valid targets to push and neither were allowed.

in the very next turn there was something similar (again with a dieroll of 6)

then later in the game it allowed me to push targets that had spawn costs equal to the init roll, but not valid targets that had spawn cost less than the init roll.

based on this it seems to be allowing you to push units with spawn cost == to the roll, and not every unit <= to the roll.

Knight of Strife and Joy... unless my memory is worse than I thought.... It doesn't have a BB: Advance all skill.

Also had a game where the AI was playing with this piece, spawned it Turn1 in the portal... and for the move phase of turn one and turn2, the AI didn't move it out of the portal. no idea if its an issue with the piece or just a weird bug... I'll play vs BHB more to try and determine.

Nice troubleshooting Anborn! That was exactly it, was doing == instead of <=. Fixed and will be in the next release.

Nice catch, I've removed that ability from its definition. Looks like I used it as a template for Skirmish 2 and never removed it.

I've attached the updated piece definition to this message.

Darkheart seems to be taking effect on ambushes even though its the opponent location. See the end of this log... Ambush 6 is indicated but it rolls 12 dice (I had 6 unengaged creatures at the time) :), even though the Darkheart is my location, and the Reaper is the opponent.

Another nice catch! Fixed, and will be in the next release along with the AI improvements I'm working on (which are a LOT, including better eval function and a new Monte Carlo AI).
