The last round of vanguard vengeance gives you the chaos orb avatar. I got the random blue deck.

You have to play 9-11 rounds depending on the challenge, play best of 1, update your oath deck with eldrazi jatill coded and it might make it easier.

Re: Challenge #4 (contains lots of spoilers)

I think Hulk/Flash is the way to go in this challenge. It's fast (you can play a whole gauntlet in the time it takes to go off with Tendrils twice) and it beats Meddling Mage and the Obliterate round.
Unfortunately, even though I've now beaten this challenge twice, Quirion Dryad will still not unlock for me. I wonder if it's because I used Cunning Wish?
Edit: Yeah this challenge is screwed up. I played Cruel Tutor instead of Cunning Wish and beat it again, and no card unlock. The deck is Vintage legal.

That sucks, I beat this challenge with a charbelcher deck made for chaos orb challenge and the card unlocked, it's a brutal challenge, so it sucks if it's somehow bugged. I don't remember but maybe I had to play another match after Obliterate round against a normal deck, but I'm not sure.

Magic: the Puzzling Challenge
by jatill » 19 Jul 2010, 17:15
Finally, a challenge that requires absolutely no luck, and can be beat in 15 minutes or less!
Therefore, please post no solutions to this challenge, since that would be equivalent to a cheat.
When you do unlock this challenge, I'd be interested in knowing which solutions you used, so please PM me your results.
Finally, be warned that the 2nd and 3rd rounds expect you to win during your upkeep, so make sure to set a stop there to avoid immediately losing the game.
Below is the setup for each puzzle. If you want to be surprised, or want an additional challenge, do not read on.

Just a heads up for people: The Puzzling Challenge is included in the "CHALLENGE 1" group. I had trouble finding it at first, and thought I'd installed it wrong.

#2 gives badlands and plateau in play, not the stated lands, though my solution works with mountain/blood crypt as well, assuming it comes into play untapped.

I'm still working on #4. I found a solution, but it was bugged, so I'm trying to find an alternate one. I'll PM what I have so far.

You can use this thread as reference or else screenshot it and paste into paint. That's what I did after the first time I lost it.
#4 has at least 2 solutions, but one of them is bugged.
#10 is really hard :p I've been stuck on this one for awhile.

Ok I give up on #10 for now :p Assuming it's possible (and it must be, since it would be incredibly easy to test) it's something really, really clever.
