All printed stuff is very hard to scan... Usually it's printed in four color mode (CMYK), each color printed in different degrees, lines or dots. Magic cards are printed in dots... All those dots are called moiré and it's IMPOSSIBLE to lose it cause it's what make the image...

These HQ scans are VERY GOOD. And the only way to do it better is someone from wizards gives us the Cards_AF.pds LOL

Could you by chance point out what images you are refering to? I have been using the HQ images for some time now to print proxies and they turn out wonderfull. Also what method are you using to print your proxies? I have found if you use the acetone method to remove the face to much acetone can cause blurring. As well as if you use an inkjet printer you can not obtain a clean image. You need a good laser printer to not have the blurring effects around casting cost symbols and border lines etc.

Also the images on my screen definatly are high quality, even programs that attempt to crop based on various image area's can detect changes in layers / locations of the image. If they weren't of higher quality they would not be able to do so?

oh my god why do you even bother printing the proxies? Just take a plain paper, a pen and scissors and just write the card names on the paper cut it out and put it into your sleeves with the card on the back, done!

Just a noobish question but I'm a bit confused now that MWSPA is gone: If I want to download the HQ scans to play in MWS what is the best way? Download the mediafire folder (http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=fe4b ... 6b7d6e0e90) and change the folder structure has indicated below or to download the torrents up to Lorwyn and download the rest of the sets manually?

Because I use the images to make 3D cards. For the lower layers were just the image is necessary there is no need to purchase the REAL cards just to hack them into ity bity pieces. It saves ALOT of money when making the 3D cards for rare and mystic rarities. And even if I did make the proxies to play with I wouldn't use your method. I don't play with sleeves when I play on paper (which is rare since I mainly play online). Don't like them, makes the deck HUGE and shuffling's a pain with a sleeve on each card. Don't mind others using them though.

Long story short... not everyone prints proxies to play with

The master base is available, and low resolution pictures are available but the team is still working on the HQ pics. Most images have been submitted but there is still a wishlist of a few cards needed.

I've always dowloaded the torrent and then the rest manually, but however you want to obtain the image should work as long as the file / folder structure matches the requirements for the MWS application. I really don't know which method would be quickest or easiest to be honest with you. The HQ package for MWS really needs rebuilt, its getting old.... hint... hint...

Woogerboy, nobody wants to do the torrent - because it always has to be updated (and rebuilt) when a new set comes out. The current thing is mediafire. Heh.
