Basically, copy the questData file from the res/quest folder from the old to the new release.
So now you're
Screaming for the blood of the cookie monster
Evil puppet demon of obesity
Time to change the tune of his fearful ballad
C is for "Lettuce," that's good enough for me

More observations on the new GUI:
I think it would be better to have the mana pool permanently on the left side of the screen.
Why? Because that shortens the distance between the pool and the OK button in the top left of the screen. (My wrist ached after 2 games with the saproling making deck due to constantly moving from Nemata, Grove Guardian to the mana pool and then to the OK button on the other side of the screen. Yup, 19 inch monitors sure are nice. )

With the old GUI you can click a stack of lands and tap lands below the top one by clicking the stack, even if you click the top land. (For paying 3 mana, you click the top land of the stack 3 times) This does not work in the new GUI. :(
Please fix this as I found myself pixel hunting for the edge of a land below the top one (gotta love the "black border on black border" look) due to the cards going mini-mini-miniature on me with a few rows of saproling tokens on screen.
This is also another reason why I do not like the way cards rescale during the game. Going from ridiculously big to nearly microscopic. The old "one size fits all" still works best for me.

I notice that setting the card size only seems to effect cards in your hand. Why not let that effect all cards on screen? That would still allow people to set the card size while keeping cards in play one (player chosen) uniform size.
Ok, enough nagging for this session.

I may have just killed the game.
Rhys the Redeemed has been trying to add a token for each squirrel token I have in play for 19 minutes now and I fear the 2 Doubling Seasons add to much weight to allow the game to function.
Off course, seeing that my Drove of Elves is 733/733 at the time I activated Rhys may also have a tiny weeny bit to do with it. Hihi.

21 minutes and counting, I now declare the game officially dead.
Time to hit the big red X and end the game...

Is there a reason we can't just have spells automatically consume the needed colored and colorless mana from the pool and only ask for manual input when using colored mana to pay the colorless portion (when no colorless is in the pool)? You can also go a step further and have it consume colored mana in the pool for colorless mana w/o input if there is only one color available.

I realize that there may be some situations where you would have untapped colorless before needing to pay the cost, so how about having this new AI be an option? A lot of decks I play wouldn't take half the time they take to play if I wasn't constantly clicking back and forth to the pool.

It can be changed. I wrote the mana code a long time ago and I wasn't sure about how to account for all the possibilities. One of the reasons that I don't use more than 2 colors in a deck, is that it takes too many mouse clicks, ha. :D

And yes I noticed that Chris H. released this version. I don't know how you kept track of all the changes, the list is just so long.

I visit the google site http://code.google.com/p/cardforge/source/list several times a day and from there it is just a simple copy and paste.

Ah me again, found out a little more.

When I ask the computer to generate two decks and play, we both have full life counters etc

When I use a constructed deck, he has one but I have nothing...

The battlefield is divided into separate 4 sided regions. These regions (panels) can be re-sized with a click-and-drag. In addition, there are thin buttons at the right hand side of these panels. Clicking on the buttons will cause a panels to break off and become a separate window. It may take a short while to explore this feature and to get used to it.

I do not know what is causing the error exception. You may want to un-compress a fresh copy of forge and the bug-fix jar and try again.

Also, you can adjust the width of each section by clicking the edge of an area and dragging it left/right.
This way, you can make the area bigger and this may reveal the life totals again. (works in both the old and the new GUI)
