I used Painter's Servant a couple times and now everything in the deck editor is multicolor. lands, artifacts, and just plain everything. I can't filter by color without having an empty screen. I closed the window and brought it back and still the same problem

*EDIT*
sorry, that seemed to have fixed itself going into another game. sorry for the bother

Forge 08-20 had some bugs which caused these types of problems. Several things were tried and we think that we have fixed these bugs. This archive contains a new jar file. You should download this one and use this jar instead of the jar that comes with Forge 08-20. The archive at this link contains the most recent bug fix.

I used this update and now I can't start the program at all:

Someone else had a similar type of error recently, we suspected that one of his ".dck" deck files may have become corrupted. Try removing all of your decks from your deck folder and then try restarting the game.

I had this problem also, which made it kinda hard to filter and sort in the deck builder. I ended up exiting the program and coming back in and everything was back to normal.

playing a Quest game and I was using Shifting Wall. I played it for 6 mana, then the comp used Oust to put in my deck. I drew it and it still had the 6 "counters" on it, so when I played it for 7 mana, it was a 13/13. Not that I mind so much, but I'm sure it's something to be brought up :p

Here are a couple things I've noticed in the past few days (using r1825):

Incorrect behavior:
- Path of Peace / Misfortune's Gain isn't giving the creature's controller 4 life like it's supposed to.
- Ajani's Pridemate is still getting +1/+1 counters whenever its controller's opponent gains life.
- The Medallions are reducing the cost of playing something via Morph (e.g.: I have a Pearl Medallion in play and am able to cast an Exalted Angel face-down for 2), which I don't think is supposed to happen (since the Angel comes into play as a colorless 2/2).
- As shazzlnet posted before me, Oust seems to preserve the creature's status when it gets put back in the library. After I attacked the AI with a Volcanic Dragon, it cast Oust on it, and when I drew and cast the Dragon again, it was still tapped, and I couldn't attack with it that turn.
- Not sure about this one, but I'm pretty sure it happened in this order: AI has an unattached No-Dachi in play and attacks with a Redwood Treefolk. I block with my Baneslayer Angel, nothing dies, I gain 5 life. After combat, AI equips the Treefolk with the No-Dachi, and all of a sudden my Baneslayer is in the graveyard. Seems like the computer is giving credit to combat damage after the fact (I'm almost positive the Treefolk was 3/6 when it attacked). I may need to test this some more.

Crashes:
- Forge throws up an exception when Admonition Angel leaves play (Unsummon, Excommunicate, etc.) without having anything to return from exile. It seems as if it's not coded to return nothing to play as a possibility. If I've exiled something before the Angel leaves play, though, everything works fine.
- AI casts Kobold Drill Sergeant (with no other creatures on its board, and one vanilla on mine), and Forge throws up an exception. May be isolated, maybe not.
- (r1651, may have been fixed since) AI-played Petravark causes Forge to throw up an exception when the 'Vark's enters-the-battlefield ability triggers. (Don't have the error log for this anymore, sorry)

Fabricate does not let me search my deck for an artifact. it just goes on the stack and 'resolves'. Tinker, however, works just fine

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned but here's a bug:

AI had Ali of Cairo so life would not go below 1; however cards in his library were exhausted and the game still continued. This should have ended the game since this has nothing to do with life.

There is an issue with Wall of Reverence being able to recognize creatures that are equiped. Currently I have wall of reverence out with 2 swords of light and shadow and 2 swords of fire and ice and at the end of each turn, instead of gaining 9 life I am gaining 0. I've noticed in other games where I have had multiple creatures out, the ones that are equiped will not show up on the list of creatures to choose to gain life from.

I threw together a test deck and attached two Sword of Fire and Ice. The Wall of Reverence is now a 5/10 and gains 5 life at the beginning of my end step.

The Sword of Light and Shadow gives the Wall of Reverence protection from white and from black. This is preventing the Wall of Reverence from targeting itself with it's gain life equal to the power of target creature you control ability.

this time I got a big error report:

Was playing with Admonition Angel. AI resurrected it and used its effect a few times, on Iona, Shield of Emeria and on a creature token to be specific. used Journey to Nowhere to remove it and get creatures back. Error occured when Admonition Angel's effect tried to resolve returning Iona to play. I don't know if it was trying to return the token to play, though it probably shouldn't exist anywhere except in play.

also, on a side note, doesn't a creature gain multiple instances of Lifelink that stack? such as more than one Battlegrace Angel

Did you have the milling option checked prior to starting the match? There is a Forge option that determines whether or not games can end via milling (although I'm not sure why this is implemented as an option. Why not an option about other game-ending possibilities such as poison or going to zero or less life?).
A woman came up to me and said / "I'd like to poison your mind / With wrong ideas that appeal to you / Though I am not unkind."

The reason this option exists, is so us coders can easily test new cards by creating 7 card decks.

The devs need to create very small decks to test new card and bug fixing code. The milling option set to off allows us to quickly test our code without the game ending prematurely. The default setting is set to on for user base.

The code block for Fabricate was accidentally removed from the code base. I re-added it to revision 1845 on the SVN.
