HQ PICS DOWNLOADS and Status List (MTG)

We've done so many sets that we've done do-overs to stay busy. I thought we were through but looking at the list I still see a lot of MWS sets, which really surprises me.

We have MWS sets, which are our oldest sets and come from my original collection. Then we have MWSHQ sets that were released after we devised the HQ specs. Then we have CCGHQ sets that are the newest and most refined, having been released after we moved here from MWSData.

The clarity of this set is unbelievable.

All of our sets vary a bit in sharpness, and you can usually tell when a pic is a bit soft looking, or the text has the tell-tale halo of sharpening. But in this set, the text and symbols are just perfect, with no softening or sharpening, it just looks like it's supposed too.
Maybe it's because the original is so large, giving more bits to play with? If so, then wouldn't normal size cards look better if scanned at higher res before processing?

To respect their large-sized origins, these pics are huge, bigger than our UHQ's I think.

I asked extreme why he did all the card backs, and he said because they were different. I don't know, for each set they all look the same to me.

Hm... CCGHQ MTG OV (Oversized 6x9) Fulls 092810.zip and CCGHQ MTG OV (Oversized 6x9) Card Backs 092810.zip archives look identical.

Not taking into account color differences, I see four different backs:

1. Black Lotus + Chaos Orb + Hurloon Minotaur + Serra Angel1 + Serra Angel2
2. Juzam Djinn
3. Thorn Elemental
4. the rest of cards

These scans are so good that I'm going to have some of them printed in full colour for hanging in my studio!

I have a number of the originals already framed & mounted, & these ones will look just as good when they're framed.

Lots of good stuff in this set. It was as hard as usual to pick this set's "poster card". I found one where the color really jumps out, it looks like an old school magic card, maybe it's an oil?

That card also represents the new infect/poison mechanic, and there's proliferate which looks like a lot of fun, plus more. But I'm sure all that is covered elsewhere in the forum.

OK, just one more, there's also a new Rat to spice up your rat deck, and this rat gives out Poison counters.

There were so many support cards done by the team this time that I had to combine them all into one download or go crazy. I'm already pissed at Rapidshare because I can't get adjusted to their crappy new makeover.
