I am interested in hearing about the types of deck themes that people use and are able to put together at various stages of the quest.

Computer has so far thrown 3x Armageddon at me in this game. I'm still winning with a Soul Bleed on his Wild Nacatl.

During my last quest, I got a few Dark Depths as random rares and started looking for Vampire Hexmage. I put together a deck with three of each, plus a Tolaria West and lots of tutors and draw/filtering. It was pretty fun.Chris H. wrote:I am interested in hearing about the types of deck themes that people use and are able to put together at various stages of the quest.

I also got a bunch of Vensers because new cards often go for 10 credits in the shop... So I built a deck around abusing him. He goes really nicely with Elspeth Tirel.
My other main deck for that quest was a mono-green ramp fatties deck that let me pull off Overwhelming Stampede with Emrakul, the Aeons Torn in play a few times. Good times.

Have I mentioned lately that I hate land destruction decks? I'm playing against the Black Vise Helldozer deck, and in three games against it I've lost probably 8 lands.
Edit: make that at least a dozen.

The land destruction deck is fun to play against the AI but it is not much fun when the AI uses that deck against us.

I am using a Koth of the Hammer deck featuring: Boartusk Liege, Demigod of Revenge, Skullclamp, Quicksilver Amulet, Mox Ruby, and Emrakul, the Aeons Torn. The MVP by far is the Skullclamp and if you get one in a new quest game on the opening random card pool, seriously consider giving the quest a go, it's that good.

Holy buckets... I just discovered a combo that would be really nasty in quest mode. Ranger of Eos and Serra Ascendant. Especially if you've purchased the maximum life upgrade.

The computer has just won the Stupid Magic Player of the Year award... It's cast Death's Shadow twice while it was at 20 life.

I'm currently going Sliverburn, and I just made a bit of a mistake. I had 3 burn spells in my opening hand and used them on a Guardians of Akrasa and an Outrider of Jhess... then the computer dropped a Battlegrace Angel. Well now, that was brilliant.

You mean a wolf pet with flanling? Thats interseting. I thought the AI would recognize the interaction of flanking and indestructible. I will take a second look.timmermac wrote:lol... The computer just blocked my Wolf pet with a Stuffy Doll. <rolls eyes>
