When you started playing around with MWS, sooner or later you have to create some Creature Tokens. MWSPlay has very nice feature for this by right clicking on the board, and selecting the Create Token feature. However, as Magic: The Gathering evolves, the Token list gets outdated after a while, so here is a howto, to get it up to date till the latest expansion set.
First of all, make sure you have the latest token pictures.
Unpack this into your MWS pics folder.
Now to update the list itself:
Get into MWSPlay, start a game (solitaire is the quickest), right click on the board, select Create Token -> Create Token (or press ctrl-t).
In the Token menu, by the drop menu for Creature Type, press the ... button. Here you get a list you can edit. Clear the list completely and replace it with this:

I have downloaded the token pics, but I seem to miss the Shadowmoor tokens in my Masterbase although I downloaded the latest update

You don't need the Shadowmoor tokens in your Masterbase, simply you can create them in MWSPlay.

Had some problems having some of the images appearing in MWSplay. Mainly Faerie Rogue tokens, fixed the problem by removing the space between Faerie and Rogue in the filename and the token name. Did any of you guys have this problem also?

I just wanted to add something. Instead of naming the token Spirit1, Spirit2 etc, you can also trigger the appearance by setting the power of the token. Per example, if you put two pictures into the token folder, one named Giant Warrior4.full.jpg and another one Giant Warrior5.full.jpg, the first one will be displayed whenever you create a token named "Giant Warrior" with a power of 4, and the second one will be displayed whenever you create a token named "Giant Warrior" with a power of 5. This is very useful when you got tokens with different power and toughness, but the same name. It's not working for different tokens with the same name and the same power and toughness, like the 1/1 colorless Spirit token from Kamigawa and the 1/1 white flying Spirit token from Shadowmoor.

DrLambda ~ Note that if you want to display multiple images of the same powered token, you need a space between the numbers. For example, I have about 7 different 1/1 Goblin tokens. I have them named Goblin 1, Goblin 2, Goblin 3, and so on. If I want the third image of the goblin, I create token Goblin 3 (kind of clunky but it does the job).
I like being bad... it makes me happy...

first of all thanks for the Extended Art Tokens mahamoti. they're great.
second: anyone has made a "storm token pic"?
it would be very nice to have one instead of the anonymous black empty token...

I think he means a token to keep up with your storm count.

Re: Tokens for MWS

Hi there.
I have one little problem with the tokens. When i for example create an Angel token with P/T = 2/2, the small version (on the playing field) shows the wrong picture (it doesn't show the Angel2.full.jpg but the Angel.full.jpg). However when i hover over the card, on the top right the right picture is shown. Is there a way to resolve this (without using "creature type" Angel2 when creating the token)?
Also the Angel token for a 2/2 Angel actually shows a 3/3 Angel. I guess thats a bug?

Which card makes 2/2 Angel token?
Angel2 and Angel3 (3/3) created for Haunted Angel.
Angel (4/4) for Decree of Justice.

Hm ok you are right. But i still think its strange that for the same card 2 different pictures are shown, one on the board and another on on the top right.

The smaller cards on the board will show the overridden P/T. The larger card view will not.
Try changing the P/T of a land to see what I mean.
