The old GUI is not better, just different.

The old GUI has 5 rather than 3 panels for the battlefield. The allows the lands to be placed in a separate panel. The cards do not resize as more cards are added. Instead, you get a horizontal scroll bar that lets you see the cards that are off screen.

The old GUI does not use the mana symbol overlays. No attack, defend or summon sickness icons, etc.

It might be possible to add in some of the new features to the old GUI. It would be nice to be able to use a background image as a skin for the older GUI.

These new icons have 'similar' look and feel as the official symbols (suggested by Sloth).

I like these new icons. Thank you.

I loaded them into my graphics editor and noticed something strange. The right and bottom sides appear to be missing some pixels. These two sides appear to be flattened rather than rounded.

It is not a big deal, barely noticeable. :D

I didn't check the old GUI source file. Is the old GUI better than the new one?
I prefer the older one :D it's easier to understand what 's going on

When growing for the future, sometimes we need to just cut off features for older code. There will always be some people who don't like new changes, but it's hard enough to update one area in the code and properly test it, let alone additional ones.

Yes, but then again, I think we should keep up support for the old gui (for now, anyway). Some people have trouble with the new GUI, to the extent of being unplayable.

I like that green felt background, by the way :)

While we're at the topic, is it possible to remove the 'Mana Pool' and display the player's mana at the Player Info Panel (bottom left) instead?

And what other feature should be added to the Deck Editor? Filter by rarity, filter by set, or...

Certainly possible, and to me, it's preferable, especially when/if an actual mana pool gets implemented for the computer.

Filter by type would be my only suggestion.

Great to have you choppic. Great work so far.

Sorry for the sub-par icon quality. This is the 'better' version without the missing pixels :D

Yea I think when we regain some of the wasted space in the Player Panel by changing things to Icons and Numbers, moving the mana pool will work out well.

Guys, how many types of mana do we have in this game other than W, U, R, G, B, and C?

Define "types". :)

For sources, there's W U B R G C(1-15) S(Snow).
For costs, there's the above, plus hybrid mana ( 2W 2U 2B 2R 2G WU WB WR WG UB UR UG BR BG RG, though some of those are only theoretical possibilities that aren't actually on a card yet[EDIT:No wait, forgot about Reaper King  )
So now you're
Screaming for the blood of the cookie monster
Evil puppet demon of obesity
Time to change the tune of his fearful ballad
C is for "Lettuce," that's good enough for me

Yes, this is what I mean :)
Is it only one generic colorless Snow mana? Or do we have White Snow, Blue Snow, etc?

Any mana can also be snow (red, colorless, etc.).

Yes, the fixed version looks better, no missing pixels. :)

The Icon_fix.zip archive is missing the two white filters:

filter_white_n.png
filter_white_y.png

The rest of the filters in this archive looks great. Thank you.
