Unable to create over 50 tokens (need help)

Postby andrew77jw » 12 Jan 2011, 18:00

My original Question:

Also, side question: In the Academy deck, the youtube video showed almost 100 land tokens, but in my game it tells me the game cannot handle more than 50 and refuses to add more then that. Is there something I need to do to correct this?
First response to me:

Thanks for the report . About the Academy Deck, it must generate more than 50 ( my highest count was 110 ). If you are using the Original DotP, You must use the latest version. If you're using the Offline version, you must check the Multiversion Patch when installing the Custom DLC Mod 2. It will overwrite DotP.exe so you must backup it to another folder.
Not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but here's what I have:
Paid for and Downloaded DotP from steam, and also all 3 official expansions released.
Installed the Custom DLC Mod from Kevlahnota (Love the mods).

In his youtube video, he was able to create over 100 tokens. When I play, it gives me a warning about not being able to create more than 50 tokens. Lets say I'm playing an elf deck, and have ~35 creatures, with 20 of them being tokens. I then tap Gaea's Cradle to add mana for each creature i control (35 land tokens). Because that effect would cause me to have over 50 tokens, instead Gaea's Cradle taps, but produces no mana.

Any ideas you have to fix this issue is greatly appreciated. Let me know if you need more info on what i'm running.

Thanks!

I have also run into this same problem, but I have been unable to figure it out.

It is has been difficult to locate the source of the limitation.

I have tried changing the token reservation.

I took out the local variable that stores creature count.

I have tried to count the creatures using a different function.

Has anyone ever tried to make more than 50 tokens of anything other than mana?

Kev needs to answer this, I'm not sure why he hasn't.

well, I can't reproduce the problem. I really wonder why. On my Devour deck, I can produce about 100+ saproling tokens with Mycoloth. I didn't test this when playing 2HG only on 1 vs AI mode.

I suspect that its the DOTP.exe that causes this. If you have original DOTP.exe, do you have the updated DOTP.exe?

I never found a solution, but school has kept me away from modding.

Thanks Kev for looking at this problem.

I don't know how you can find the time to debug
