I think that would be cool as well. Since (for now) AI doesn't make much smart choices, giving AI some kind of brute force would really help against more developed decks on quests. One idea could be binding those "challenges" to the know 3-tier decks, so that a tier 1 starts at lower life and tier 3 tops at X life.

Or making an opponent that is a snake immune to poison counters.
Some other ideas:
1.Undeckable - If an opponent has 0 cards in their library they could shuffle all cards in the grave yard to their library.
2. Second life - If an opponent dies of any standard way then shuffle all cards in hand, exiled cards, library, and cards in graveyard into the deck and the opponent draws 7 cards life is reset to 20 and poison counters are set to 0.

3. Alternate win conditions are not in effect. No Battle of Wits, or other win conditions.

4. Legend.................................................ary
All non basic land permanents are legendary.

I would request that if the computer plays an instant that it be presented in a more obvious way. It's too easy to click through the event without noticing that something went on the stack.

Not sure if this was appropriate, but I started a new wiki page (http://www.slightlymagic.net/wiki/Forge_Tools) for a request Dracontes made here.

A few months ago Niv-Mizzet suggested EDH mode. Is there any chance of implementing that mode?

Yes, I agree with that guy. That sounds awesome. 8)

I think in general the devs are focusing a lot of attention on the sweet quest mode. I can understand if jumping in to a whole new way to play might not be high on the agenda. But if someone wanted to champion the EDH idea, I would expect that it would be very popular. EDH has become so big now that Wizards is making products for it this year.

I'd like to suggest in the 'assign damage to multiple blockers' window show the power of each creature as well as the damage I've assigned so far.

Also like to suggest that since symbols (like summoning sickness) and p/t don't appear on large cards in the new GUI, that we have an option to specify max card size in that window. Or maybe also min card size too; I can always scroll if there are so many cards in play.

I would like to have the HIDDEN bounce triggers not showing a list but letting me click on the permanent/land of my choice. I always have to go by the Card ID if I want to return a tapped land and not an untapped one.

By the way, what does Specify Max Stack Size do exactly? If I set it to 4, the stacks of basic lands will still have up to five lands on them.

I believe that only works for the old style battlefield GUI.

I love the new Standard quest pool.
Is it possible to add a Extended pool?
I do a new pool every day now and I would love to see some new cards.

I'm checking out the set LQ cards option with the 3/18/11 beta and I realized that there's no real reason why the same structure couldn't be used with HQ pics, especially since the CARDNAME.full.jpg file template is recognized by Forge, so I had what (I think) is a cool idea.

Like (I assume) others, I have a complete set of HQ scans from this site, but I keep them in a different location. I'm wondering if Forge could be updated to add a config file of some kind so that I can tell Forge what folder each set is in... That way I could keep one set of card scans and use 'em for whatever! :D

Right now I keep 2 copies - one for me and one for Forge. And copy-paste-renaming cards into the Forge directory for missing scans is a bit of a pain.

Thanks for the awesomeness that is Forge!

There is a config setting for the picture base folder. If you point forge to your existing HQ pics, it will recognize them just fine. More than likely Forge will slow down considerably for you if it tries to use the HQ pictures.

The person that maintains the server with the HQ pics has not been involved in the forge project for over a year. I do not believe that he has placed the pics from the newest card sets on his server.

Copy -> paste -> rename is the only method that we have at this time. At some point we may discover that his server is shut down, not sure how much longer it will last. :(

Why doesn't Forge come preloaded with all of the correct token images and quest characters? I noticed it already has a couple of tokens like Eldrazi Spawn and a couple others, but none of the most common ones like Elf, Soldier, etc. Why so random?

I found a better solution not too long after I wrote that suggestion: I made a copy of my entire card set HQ archive into forge, then batch-resized the pics to 282x400. After doing this, the entire set of cards takes up about 500Mb of hard drive space.

It's a reasonably good trade-off between size and quality. Even on a 1900x1200 screen the cards are reasonably sharp in Forge, and as you mentioned it is faster (Up until last night, I exclusively used the HQ pics). It also has the added advantage that I will never have to copy card pics into Forge again. :)

I tried the LQ pics first (from WotC, I assume) and didn't like those at all - they are just a bit too blurry for my taste.
