Ok, I will add a request to display the game turn structure to the project page.

I hate to pick at anothers' feature request, but the turns and phases are already spelled out perfectly in English. I don't understand how icons would help, except to make Magarena look more like EVERY other MTG game out there.

If I would implement this feature, it will probably be configurable, because it will take screen space.

I have noticed that the Symbols used on the cards on the playing area (the mana symbols, numbers, etc.) are gif and the transparency on them is not all that clean (there is some white on the edge of all of them, to some degree).

I have spent some time cleaning them up a bit, so the edges are a bit more transparent, but there is only so much that can be done because it is a GIF. Still, I have attached my work to this reply, and you can check it out.

However, might it not be better (and easier) to use the PNG symbols that both Forge and Nate's Deck Builder use (symbols-13 folder)? Those have super clean edges because of the aliased transparency that PNG supports. Granted, the symbols are 13x13 pixels instead of the 15x15 that magarena uses, but I think the smaller size looks great in Forge and I don't think it would look bad in Magarena either.

Just something to think about, to make the interface as clean and professional looking as possible.

Suggestion Number 2:
It might be nice to have a button on the main screen, in the same place as where the PLAY GAME button is, that you click for a NEW DUEL. Maybe push the random card up a bit and put the button below it, or have the random card itself function like a button. When you click on the card it starts the new duel. :-)

One more request. Could it be possible to have the card preview in the screen before the duel begins also be HQ? That way, when we are looking through the cards in our deck that was generated, we can have a better view of them?

Thanks for the new symbols Salasnet, and it's a great feature request, which I second, to implement support for the NDB symbols.

I took a look at the AI, and I have a suggestion: allow for a "Smart AI" which knows the cards in an opponent's deck, and treats cards in their hand as having a possibility of being instants and combat tricks that the player has. (This should be an optional feature because I imagine it'd be much slower.)

It would be slower. Still have to try this out however to say by how much.
The Monte Carlo goes even a step further, it knows about the opponent's hand and library.

My request: unlimited undo levels. Sometimes when I lose a game I want to replay to see if it's *possible* to win.

Why not "save deck" or "save duel" before you start?

Probably to have exactly the same card draws which would otherwise not be the case.

The new improved message log is much better, thanks ubeefx. Some suggestions for the new log:

Up/Down arrows scroll the list.
Add hotkey M (for us lefties) in addition to F1 to toggle the list.

I think that would be perfect.

First of all congratulations!

I've been in the project of "Magma Magic Machine" essentially creating cards. I've created some thousands of cards for the game.

I've tried Wagic, Forge, Magma Magic MAchine... but Magarena is by far the best game for playing MTG. Of course it still has a long way to go but for now this is my reference game for playing MTG. I've only played one full game of Magarena and the AI looks the best AI I've seen in a game of Magic.

I've a question...

The deck generated are they random or based on pre-made decks?

And a request...

To add sound. A game without sound is like a garden without birds:) Sound is essential to give depth to the game when you play it.

The essential sounds are:

Click
play Instant
play Sorcery
Creature into play (summon)
Forest into play
Mountain into play
Swamp into play
Island into play
Plains into play
Draw card
Counter effect
Damage
Destroy
Discard
Enchant into play
Life loss
Regeneration
Sacrifice
Tap
Untap
End of turn
End of phase
Artifact into play

And finally you can add support for sound based on the type of creature: bird, goblin, dragon... so, when a creature of this type enters play it has a specific sound.

For now this is my request, and I'm probably be working on a personal theme to offer this game.

Keep the good work and THX for filling the gap with this game!

Bye, from Portugal!
