I'm glad that I could be a help to you. Magarena has been almost a dream, I didn't think I would ever get to play against an AI this good. You get extra kudos because Magarena works on my ancient machine, so even though the AI is advanced it doesn't eat up CPU cycles, wow. Magarena is also in Java (which is cool) and I also like your user interface.
And for your information, I tried copying your user interface for Forge but I'm just not good doing gui stuff and using a videogame library was harder than I expected.

Mtgrares, I think you can be called a spokesman for fan made Magic games!
It is incredible how many people learned about the existence of Magarena by your blog and posts.
I did no effort to publicize it myself besides putting it on this forum.
About copying the UI, I had some mixed feelings about that.
Obviously you do this because you like the UI.
But on the other hand a UI is a very important part of a program's personality.

I have made an update for the Limited Edition Magarena data folder.

It contains the new avatar set and dark battle theme from pedro1973 and 7 new decks from Kuno.
Thanks for sharing your work!

My blog is just a hobby where I write and get to use all those English classes from high school and college. I like promoting good software and good Magic software is rare. Magic is just insanely fun and I think everybody should play it.ubeefx wrote:Mtgrares, I think you can be called a spokesman for fan made Magic games!

Yes the user interface may be the most important part of the program. "To the user, the user interface is the program" which is still hard for me to understand. But it is perfectly true because I use Word, Firemox, and JBuilder and I have no idea how they are programmed.About copying the UI, I had some mixed feelings about that.

Maybe its good that I failed, I didn't mean to copy something that I shouldn't. I was impressed with Magarena and enjoyed the various themes. I'm not a "visual" person and wouldn't be able to write a user interface like Magarena in 100 years.
