comparison of Forge and Wagic's numbers of cards over time
by frwololo » 25 Apr 2011, 13:25
I felt bored today, and I also ran into a blog post where somebody claimed that Forge supports more cards than Wagic (which isn't true - edit: based on Forge's latest blog post for the new version -, although you guys are getting closer
) So, based on Forge's blog and my own blog posts, I reconstructed the evolution of the number of supported cards in both programs over time

Yay for the d#ck contest
Seriously, what happened to you guys at the end of last year? Somebody got a pile of free time all of a sudden?
I blogged about this for those interested

Deck contest?
I think that was when AbilityFactories really took off. That enabled so many more script only cards. I'd like to have the trigger system take credit for it, but that wasn't til January
Also, I should go back and try the latest wagic, I think I've missed a couple of versions.
EDIT: In response to the blog post, it's actually ~80 000 lines of code.
(cloc doesn't count the card scripts though, so yeah.
)

You need to take some credit for January and later. We now have 1827 cards using trigger.

I was unemployed and was able to channel lots and lots of free time into the new generic ability structure. Since that's no longer the case, I've barely had time to fix a few small things I've run across.frwololo wrote:Seriously, what happened to you guys at the end of last year? Luckily, it helped motivate everyone else to go crazy in putting cards in and Hellfish's streamlined Trigger system helped a lot as well.
