DotP 2012 - Local Coop

Is anyone able to play Local Coop on PC? I put in a ticket with wotc and they replied back days later saying that local coop is not supported in 2012 at all. However after looking at forums online, others are able to play local coop.

Basically, My wife and I played the original dotp all the time local coop (2HG vs ai) mostly using kev's mods. My wife was excited about dotp2012 so i bought it when it first came out, and we cant seem to play together. We launch 2012, go to custom games, and whichever gametype i choose is just 1 person and 3 AI. In original dotp we could do the coop campaign 2v2. Any ideas?

There's no local coop on PC, though there is in console =(
