Download Card Pictures Issue
by ptoner87 » 26 Jul 2011, 20:27
Hi,
I've been playing Forge for a few days now and I've been having a blast, but I've run into a strange issue.
"Download Card LQ Pictures" worked just fine.
"Download Card Set LQ Pictures" mostly worked, but now whenever I go to check there's exactly 219 it has to re-download. The download always succeeds, and I'm not using a proxy or anything, but I'm assuming it's not supposed to keep downloading the same files over and over again. When I check the res/pics folder, it appears that "M12" is empty. It is empty before a download, during, and obviously after, so I'm thinking those are the files Forge is having problems downloading. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Can I obtain the missing files?; I haven't noticed anything yet in-game that's been missing pictures-wise, but then again, I haven't checked any of the M12 cards in the Deck Editor.
I'm not sure if this makes a difference, but for convenience I'm running Windows 7 x64. I'm not running any personal firewalls or anything like that which would block from downloading.
Thanks in advance.

We're still waiting for M12 pics to be released by the pictures forum.

So what you're saying is that when you get all the pictures, the download functionality will essentially fix itself? Because right now it is trying to download an incomplete set and, recognizing it to be incomplete, will continuously prompt itself to re-download? I think I just answered my own question. =P
Thanks much.

What's happening is that when you click on the option for "Download Set LQ Pictures," Forge checks all of the appropriate folders to see if it has pictures to download. Since M12 isn't there yet, it lists the number of cards in that set (219) to be downloaded. Since those cards aren't available on the server yet, the progress bar seems to indicate that the pictures are downloading, when in reality, they're not there. I think what may be needed for the picture downloads is a status window that gives output similar to what the console in Eclipse shows when downloading pictures.
