When I cascade into Reap and Sow, I can choose to play it in its entwined mode without paying the entwine cost. I should have to pay it.

I suspect, but have not yet tested, that the same issue will exist when cascading into other entwine cards. Since I'm currently obsessed with cascade, I'll try playing decks with lots of "additional cost" abilities (kicker, buyback, entwine) and see what works and what doesn't.

No reason to try it. The additional costs aren't handled in quite the right manner, which leads to a few cases like this where you rules aren't quite followed to the letter.
