Missing Pics?
by MoonKnight » 26 Dec 2011, 05:28
Hi, I'm new to Forge and I was just wondering if I was missing something.. The cards have no images. Was this meant to be? Do I need to download something? or is something wrong with my Forge? I really want to see them

If you are using Forge Beta: 11-25-2011 ver 1.1.8 rev 12235 or earlier you need to use the Menu commands at the New Game window that start with either "Update" or "Download".
If you are using one of the recent version 1.2.0 snapshots with the new UI then you need click on the Utilities button and from there click on the buttons that start with "Download" to get the downloads that you are missing.

I did do what you said and got all the pictures. But after closing it up for the night all the pictures and all the decks that I created were gone.
This has happened to me many times, what should I do?

Which version of Forge are you using? Are you you using the last beta version from november, Forge Beta: 11-25-2011 ver 1.1.8 rev 12235?
Or, are you downloading the daily snapshot builds?

Are you running the game from inside the zip file or are you extracting it first?MoonKnight wrote:I did do what you said and got all the pictures. But after closing it up for the night all the pictures and all the decks that I created were gone.

Maybe I didn't extract it properly. I will try that and let you know how it works out.
Thank you for your help and I appreciate the quick responses.

if you're running windows7, make sure you're running the program as an admin, otherwise no changes will be made to your system (nothing is saved).

In Windows 7, Forge may be happier when run from somewhere in the My Documents structure, (they call them Libraries now???) or from another partition other than C:. The user has little permission to do much on the system drive.
The Force will be with you, Always.
