Forge AVR prerelease party
by Chris H. » 26 Apr 2012, 11:32
Today's snapshot build includes many cards from the new Avacyn Restored set.
Pictures for these new cards are not yet available via forge's downloading mechanism and it could take a couple of weeks or so before they come on-line.
These new cards do not have set info which makes it difficult to sort your deck editor card list. I clicked on the rarity and the set column headers and got a null crash report. The cards were sorted and I was able to dimiss the crash report and continue.

That's strange. I get the same null crash report but everything remains the same. They're not sorted, even if I dismiss the report.

Launch forge, do not click on the set column header. Click on the rarity header instead.
The new AVR cards will be sorted to the bottom of the table and no crash report is generated.

That works. I was trying to do so after already messing with it. Not from a clean start up.Chris H. wrote:sagephoenix wrote:That's strange. I get the same null crash report but everything remains the same. They're not sorted, even if I dismiss the report.

I think we'd be better off if people waited for the SetInfo on the AVR cards. No pictures and no oracle text is one thing, but we use SetInfo all over the place.

Today's snapshot build includes set info for the new AVR cards. Thank you Sol.
The deck editor filtering and sorting appears to be working correctly at this time.
If anyone is interested in play testing these new AVR cards for us we would appreciate your efforts. There is a possibility that a few of the new AVR cards might have a scripting typo/error of some type.
It would be nice if we could find and fix a few of these before the next beta release.

Is Miracle alt. cost working? I drew Temporal Mastery and it didn't prompt me for paying 1U

Did you draw it as the first of the turn? (Just making sure
)

So now you're
Screaming for the blood of the cookie monster
Evil puppet demon of obesity
Time to change the tune of his fearful ballad
C is for "Lettuce," that's good enough for me

i'm sorry for being boring again, but the challenges don't work in that version too.I'm looking forward not only for the newest cards but also for fresh and working challenges

I made test deck with all 'miracle cards' (unless i missed one) and found only one that did not work for me.lazylockie wrote:Is Miracle alt. cost working? I drew Temporal Mastery and it didn't prompt me for paying 1U
Works:
• Banishing Stroke
• Devastation Tide
• Reforge the Soul
• Revenge of the Hunted
• Temporal Mastery
• Terminus
• Thunderous Wrath
• Vanishment
Does not work:
• Blessings of Nature

When you choose to mulligan and draw a card with miracle as first card of your new hand, the miracle effect is added to the stack. When you choose not to mulligan anymore, the OK and cancel buttons are inactive so you can't press them to resolve or cancel the miracle effect on the stack, locking up the game.

It looks like Sloth fixed BoN and I fixed the Mulliganing into Miracle issue yesterday.Bundy wrote:Does not work:

Another bug with miracle at the start of a round:

I've been using Vendilion Clique to test miracle triggers and I noticed a bug. If you look at a player's hand, but decline to choose a card to move to the bottom of the library, you shouldn't draw a card. Right now you do.

When i choose not to use the soulbond ability of Nightshade Peddler, it went to the graveyard.
I tried it again with Nearheath Pilgrim (in the same turn), not pairing it up with another creature. Nearheath Pilgrim never entered the battlefield, but also did not go to the graveyard or exile.
EDIT: this is using snapshot r15347
and edit again: Just updated to the newer snapshot (like i should have done before posting this
) and it is already fixed.
You guys are great, thanks!

Malignus has the wrong wording for its power and toughness, in Forge: 1.2.7-SNAPSHOT-r15382
At the moment it says "Malignus's power and toughness are each equal to your life total."
It should be "Malignus's power and toughness are each equal to half the highest life total among your opponents, rounded up."
