So the AI-symbol in the deck editor means that these cards are not usable by the AI?Please don't report on cards that are marked as not usable by the AI.
Ok, then I won't post any problems with these cards any more - sorry, I did not know this and was happy to think I could help

So about one fourth of the cards in Forge cannot be used properly by the AI? ...this is much - despite all of the effort that is put into the game...
I do not know anything about programming at all, but does this mean that there is no way to make these cards doable for the opponent?

A lot of people work on forge and some of them add cards without a second sort about the AI. It's mostly me who does the cleanup by either cobbling together some basic AI code or mark them as unpayable by the AI.Symphonic wrote:So the AI-symbol in the deck editor means that these cards are not usable by the AI?

Some of the cards are usable by the AI if they are put in a carefully constructed deck (where nothing can go wrong), but for the others you have to wait until someone improves their AI parts. Maybe we can start a "Card AI Requests" topic similar to the "Card Requests" topic.Symphonic wrote:I do not know anything about programming at all, but does this mean that there is no way to make these cards doable for the opponent?

Good idea Sloth, new stickied topic started.

I attacked with Dungrove Elder, AI activated Gomazoa before Declare Blockers Step, shuffling Gomazoa into its library.
Is there a way to make the AI declare it as a blocker, then use its ability?

AI attacks with Loam Dweller when I have a Psychic Membrane on the battlefield. This only results in me drawing a card, which should not be what the AI wants.

why cant there be a smarter ai targeting system vs planeswalkers it always attacks with all its creatures a planeswalker and never attacks seperatly is this maybe for now imposible?

AI didn't seem to take Indestructible into account. AI attacked a 4/4 Champion of the Parish that was Soulbonded with a Silverblade Paladin into my Predator Ooze that was Soulbonded with a Nightshade Peddler.
So many cards, so little time

AI had 6 creatures on the battlefield including 2x Hellrider. I had 9 life and a Griselbrand on the battlefield. AI could have won by attacking with everything but it didn't attack with anything.

AIs at 7. I attack with a 5/5, 5/4 Trample and 1/2 Flying. AI has 0/4 Wall. AI blocks the Trampler which still causes 1 trample damage to kill the AI. When choosing to chump block, we should probably calculate based on total prevented damage instead of just Damage for this scenario.

This was probably too complex to be useful. The main point is does the ai try to reduce the player to exactly zero or does it give a bonus for less than zero.
I have 3 Blood Artist in play and the problem is that I can kill a creature at instant speed to gain 3 life if the ai only attacks me for 2. I am on 2 life. the ai has a Trygon Predator and 3 Noble Hierarcs and has been correctly attacking with just the predator to do 5 damage a turn till now. This turn though it attacks with everything doing just 2 which would be ok except i kill a noble and gain 3 life. And I kill the ai before he can attack again.
So just a heads up that if the ai is set to maximise getting the player to zero this may not actually be optimal.

It sounds like the "attack with everything" mode triggered causing each of the creatures to attack instead of doing what it had been, which was better. Are you sure about the lifetotals though? If you were at 2 life, the Predator kills you before any of your Blood Artist triggers resolve.muppet wrote:This was probably too complex to be useful.
