Re: [Reminder] mana sources equal to N of permanents
by 0rion79 » 02 Jul 2012, 13:33
no, it don't. Look the image: during opponent's turn I have tapped Gaea's Cradle (single click on that land, at the end of AI's main phase) to get mana and it only provides 1 mana, no matter what.
It only provides 4 manas (due to 4 creatures on my side) during my turn.
Also, if I tap it for mana to play an Instant as answer to an opponent's fast effect, it still produces only 1 mana.
As far as I remember, there was a time when they were working fine...

[fixed 1of 2 Gargaroz]Tamiyo, the Moon Sage-ultimate no
by RanDomino » 06 Jul 2012, 19:52
Describe the Bug:
Sorry if this is opening a can of worms, but Tamiyo's ultimate seems to only work for permanents. Instants, sorceries, cards which are discarded, and cards put into the graveyard from the library are not returned to hand.
Also, she is not available for proliferate (automatic ignores, manual says "Illegal target (type}) even though other Planeswalkers are. I also noticed that she can't tap herself with her +1 ability even though it says "target permanent," nor could I target her with Vindicate (whether I control it or the AI does), so I wonder if the real problem is that she's not properly identified as a permanent/not-exactly-an-enchantment...?
Which card did behave improperly ?
Tamiyo, the Moon Sage
Which update are you using?(date, name)Which type(Duel,Gauntlet,Sealed Deck)
Avacyn's Machinery v2
What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
Tamiyo should return to your hand any card that is put into your graveyard from anywhere.
Proliferate should be able to add counters to Tamiyo and she should be otherwise treated as a permanent.
Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?
I doubt it.

confirmed, also the legendary tag is missing and AI seems to avoid attacking or casting our new planeswalker from Avacyn(Tibalt, the Fiend Blooded, Gideon Jura, Sorin Markov, Sorin, Lord of Innistrad).
Planeswalker are considered as permanent but due to engine limitation I don't know if the tap effect can occur without being targeted by others status.

Tibalt seems to have the same problems of not being a 'permanent' in all the same ways as Tamiyo and not being legendary (planeswalkerary?). The Sorins and Gideon seem to work fine as does Garruk, Relentless, the other Avacyn-block PW.
Both versions of Sorin seem to be immune to Planeswalkeraryness- I'm looking at two Markovs and two LoIs in play right now. Also Gideon Jura. All the versions of Garruk work properly (including Veil-Cursed). Tezzeret the Seeker works with other copies of itself but Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas, is not Planeswalkerary, with other copies of himself nor with the other version. Ajanis all work properly. Chandras all work properly. Both Elspeths work properly. All Jaces work properly. Karn Liberated is not affected. Koth is not affected. Both Lilianas work. Nicol Bolas is not affected. Nissa Revane is not affected. Both Sarkhans work. Venser is not affected.
Properly destroyed by Planeswalkeraryness:
Garruk
Tezzeret the Seeker
Ajani
Chandra
Elspeth
Jace
Liliana
Sarkhan
Not working properly:
Sorin
Gideon Jura
Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas
Karn
Koth
Nicol Bolas
Nissa Revane
Venser
edit: I'm just going to make a new bug report for Planeswalkeraryness

I fear the Emblem's bug cannot be fixed : the code seems right, so it's and engine limitation.
The other bug regarding Tamiyo and Tibaldt is due to bad data in ct_all, and is fixed.

Hum, it's weird, I can counter Moltensteel dragon as a red spell with Blue Elemental Blast but I can't bury it from the bf with the latter, so seems to be when in play it's considered only as a creature artifact and not a red creature artifact.

Re: [unfixable]Moltensteel dragon as red permanent in play
by Aswan jaguar » 09 Jul 2012, 15:34
I encountered this in April:
The non phyrexian mana coloured artifacts work fine with such spells.I can confirm it is a Spined Thopter bug as it is not considered a blue card by any card that targets blue.In csv and ct_all everything seems fine so maybe there is something wrong with the phyrexian mana code?
Edit:I tested and this bug affects all creatures with phyrexian mana in their casting cost. These cards are considered as their colour for anything that searches for coloured spells (counterspells, cards that gain life when you play that colour, etc) but don't work with cards that target coloured creatures or coloured permanent.(e.g Blue Elemental Blast can counter Moltensteel Dragon but when it is in play it can't destroy it).
I hope this helps.

Re: Vesuva

I tried different ways but I fear this is not fixable right now : Vesuva cannot copy the CIP abilities of lands. Plus, there are the issues about mana producing : depending on which land you copy, Vesuva will produce only colorless mana. And this one too is not fixable right now.
