No arguing agaisnt that. =D I think i had a similar bug some days ago, but i got my main deck locked as well. According to RiiakShiNal's latest discoveries, it seems that the game can keep a maximum of 18 saved decks. I know it's more challenging to unlock cards by playing (that's why I went through all the original game in the "proper" way), but with custom mods maybe it's safer if you use the "unlock full deck" or "premium foil deck" buttons.

Update to Previous bug report:
I re-unlocked Gaurdians Of The Wood and closed the game and re-opened it. Now the deck is unlocked as are all 15 of the sideboard.
Update:
18 can't be correct unless that is only counting modded decks. I just counted twice, I have 25 decks unlocked so far.

While Gaurdians Of The Wood is staying unlocked for me now and the cards in it are remaining unlocked, they do not stay in the deck. Everytime the game is relaunched unlocked cards must be re-added.Perhaps this is what was meant by "18 saved" decks? I'll test further.<- Not the case. I reset a previous deck, added some cards to another deck, save & quit. re-open, the previous deck remained reset while the modified deck did not save. Also I am finding decks that have 15/15 cards unlocked and I've never even looked at them, let alone used em.

We have noticed that there is a limit to the number of decks that the game saves (limit seems to be 18 decks) anything beyond that limit does not get saved and the only way to keep unlocks is to use the "Unlock Full Deck" or "Premium Foil Deck" buttons. Though even unlocking cards that way will not save the deck configuration for those beyond the 18 limit. We have not as of yet found any way to increase this limit or to control which decks are saved to the profile.
Edit: The 18 decks are the only ones that save deck configuration. Unlocks can be saved in two ways:
1 - Deck configuration (in which case it needs to be one of the 18)
2 - AppId Linking (these are stored separately from the save data in the profile and I have not yet seen a limit to how many can be saved this way)

Slight sidebar, is there anyway to undo premium foil? I hit it while testing the buttons in Theta and for some reason foils have always made these games skip frames and animations (especially when more than 1 is on screen)

First you locate the entry in the APPID_LINKING.TXT file for the deck you want to undo the Premium Foil for. For an example I'll use my Ears of the Elves deck.

Now in your swarm directory there is a with the name "apps" (no extension) that contains the AppId numbers that have been stored. The first 4 bytes of the file are the number of entries after which each set of 4 bytes is an entry.
To remove an entry first find the entry you want to remove (819295005 is "1D 73 D5 30" in hexadecimal), select those 4 bytes (if the number you're looking for only has 3 bytes or less you still need to select all four bytes of the entry) and remove those bytes from the file. Now to correct the number of entries go back to the first 4 bytes in the file and decrement the first byte by one (examples: "24" becomes "23", "20" becomes "1F", etc...). Finally, save the file, next time you open DotP 2013 the deck should no longer be foiled.
Optionally if you don't mind going through and hitting the "Unlock Full Deck" button for all decks you want to unlock again you can simply delete the "apps" file (Theta version will simply re-create once it is needed again) and all AppIds will be reset.

Thanks for that! Worked like a charm.
I gotta say, was pretty easy, the only annoying part was having to locate the appid_linking.txt but that was definitely worth learning, in case I need it again in the future.

Everytime I try one of those codes the game crashes so I'm in the same boat you are. Maybe there is some other condition that needs to be met before those don't crash the game?
Edit: I just tried again and now they're working, I don't know what's different now.
Edit 2: I'm also seeing the promo unlocks for the other decks as well (the custom deck promos which we weren't supposed to ever see).

So, what should we do? I don't normally ask but, either of you using Theta?
Cuz if it works with Theta then it may be because the game needs re-installed (it's not installed cuz of a win 8 to 7 downgrade I'm just running it from the folder)

Was it that no one is sure where the 18 are saved?
Or is it that it is known where, and just not how to increase the limit?
Cuz I have an idea on how to locate the file, I just wouldn't know what could be done to increase the limit. (my guess would be it would require exe editing but that could be wrong)

I know where the 18 decks are saved (because that's how I was able to figure out which decks it was saving on mine and count them), they are saved in the profile. They are in the profile file ([Random#].profile) this is true for both Theta and Skidrow versions. I can even tell you average byte sizes for each saved deck and how it looks like it records each card, though it seems pretty pointless because if you edit the profile you need to change the hash file to reflect the new hash, but I don't know the hashing algorithm so it would just wipe the profile and start over when you started the game next.RolandHazoto wrote:Screw it for now I guess. To increase the limit would probably require editing of the executable, but where the edit would be and how much editing would be required to make it work are completely unknown.
BTW: Generally I use Theta version, but I have files for both (it's just changing out the exe and a single dll). Though previously I had the unlock codes crash my game everytime I tried them so why they work now is a mystery to me.
